My 12 month discount (25%) has just come to an end. Do you reckon its worth ringing them up and asking for another discount. Took out the free broadband with them Dec 06 so I think I'm tied to Sky anyhow, which probably means they will tell me where to go if I try for another discount..

    Will try there now.

Got a local number but they say the problem is with the Sky box and it will cost £65 for someone to come out and repair it. I could get Sky+ for £99 and £60 to have it installed.

tell them that you want to cancel then cos you are not paying for something thats not working see if they do as a retention offer a free engineer

and downgrade immediately so you are not paying more than you have to for something thats not working

I telephoned Sky, Ricky answered and I explained what had happened. He offered an engineer to come out at a price of £65. I said I would rather cancel so he transferred my call to cancellations. Eventually James answered after 17 minutes and he said he was going to speak to his manager to see if they could waive the fee. James came back to the telephone and said that he spoke to his manager and that they would waive the fee. They offered to come out on Tuesday but I said I would prefer Wednesday so they are coming out on Wednesday. I was on the telephone for a total of 28 1/2 minutes. The call was free as I get free local evening calls and the engineer is free too. :j :rotfl: :T

When I came off the telephone hubby said "Martin scores again"!! :money:

Hi Kerry, I know you're snowed under and I've tried to PM you but couldn't. I've been a Sky customer for years and have never had any discounts or deals. At the moment I get all the mixes plus Sky Sports and already have multiroom. I would love to get Sky+ for downstairs, if you could possibly get me a discount I would be very grateful. Please contact me if you can and you have the time! Thanks very much.

Why do I keep getting silent calls from 0800 1830142 I looked it up on google and it seems to be sky. If they wanted to ring me wth an amazing offer thats ok but no one says anything it just goes dead. Is this really sky calling or is it some kind of scam?

I'm regstered with tps and for no silent calls, I wouldn't want to block them anyway if its genuine sky but not sure if it really is. I don't want to call it back though.

    Anyone else getting these calls?
    Thanx
