    Hello Kerry

You must be snowed under by now, so firstly apologies for being another one wanting your help!

Currently, been with sky more than 10 years  (i won't calculate how much we have paid over that time to mr murdoch et al) but i like my sports

Anyway, we pay about £38 for the sky sports package i think. Though we also subscribe to an asian channel (Sony TV) which is another £10pm.

We've never been offered a good sky+ deal, and would consider leaving as we probably need the feature of taping one channel and watching another. We wouldn't want multiroom (would probably se the magic eye thingy) and from what i understand the subsrciption would be free cos we have all the sports channels?

Any ideas on what we could get? We once got 3 months 1/2 price but that's the best they could offer about 6months ago.

    Thanks :A

    Hi Kerry,

Firstly, many thanks for your help, if you get a chance to read this. If not, no problem.

Just bought my first house and I'm looking at getting Sky as the area doesn't pick up freeview. The things I am looking for is a minimum of 4 mixes, Sky Sports and Sky+. Are there any deals I could get for this, or any saving on the up-front fees/monthly subscriptions, etc as things are quite tight at the moment! If it helps, I live in Exeter (postcode EX2 9BQ).

Again, if you do get a chance to reply, thanks a lot. Cheers.

I'm happily back with Sky. Please ignore my PM Kerry!

Free Sky+ box, Sky+ and 4 mixes for GBP18. That'll do me. And the good news is, because I've taken up the offer soon people will get offered 6 months half price with no tie in :p

I'm still an existing customer and I was told I had to take a minimum of 2 premium (?) options (e.g. Sky Sports 1 and Movies 2) in order for the £10 Sky + subscription to be waived. Also if I didn't maintain more than 1 premium options within the next 12 months I would have to start paying the £10 Sky+ sub.

I must admit I am very tempted by Sky+.

Been a custoemr for a few years on the "family" package as it was called.

Got a half price upgrade now and again. The last one (3 months) finished a few weeks back and I am considering keeping it and getting Sky+.

What is the cheapest option for me doing this?

    Any help thoughts much appreciated

Im a sky+ cust for most of the past 12 months have been happy just caslled them to find out when i was out of contract found out i have been since march.
So i would like to save some money if i can i pay £18.00 a month plus £10.00 fee for the +. Just spoke to someone who said i can pay £36.00 a month for half the movies and half the sports but i like the rest of you want to save money not spend it.
Any suggestions on the best route to take???

I thought about telling them i want to cancel and go elsewhere but virgin lost some sky channels so cant even argue that point anymore.
    Thanks in advance

They won't check about if you can Virgin or not. They will just slag virgin off saying you are with the best and no one else is any good and keep you on the phone as long as they can. The best way to get cheaper sky is to cancel and just try and mess them around. sometimes they forget to cancel you down and you get a month free. At the moment there are no offers They will try and get you tied into phone broadband etc. Please remember if you take these out you are tied in for 12 months again. so to cancel down is not an option.

If any special offers come up for the sky+ and I decided to have it and have my old box moved to the upstairs bedroom do I pay for the old box monthly and would I get exactly the same programs as on the downstairs one? And is it more per month for sky+ than an ordinary box?

At the moment I'm just on freesat as they wouldnt continue my half price family package, it would take a good bargain for me to go back though
    Thanx

Do what I did - cancel, manage with the free channels for 2 months until they call you.
