Hi Kerry
I am an existing Sky+ customer currently paying £43.50 a month as I have the Sports/Movies (even paid for Prem + too).
Could you pm / tell if there are ANY discount deals I might be able to get as I hardly ever watch the movies only the sport.
Also I have Orange Broadband and it's crap so possibly looking to move over to Sky (if they can guarantee no hassle changeover).
Cheers

hello Kerry.
good of you to help us tight gits out i must say.
wondering if u can help me with this.
i've had sky + for over 12 months now and i pay about £28 per month, basic package i think and i was wondering if you can tell me how i can make any savings.
since i quit my job to look after my daughter who has special needs, i'm trying to cut the costs of things without getting rid of them.
even the £10 per month i pay for sky plus would be a fantastic saving but of course i would like to retain the + facilities.
i'm sure you're inundated with queries, so if u can help drop me a line whenever you can.....please.0 -
Decided to ring sky.Having cancelled in January.
Got offered a free refurbed sky+ box and free install.
Or new sky + box £49 & free install.
£10 charge to be dropped July 1st( I don't have movies or sports) and sky are going to credit my account with £20 as I will have receved 2 x bills by then.
I am tied to Sky for 12 months but well happy.
Interestingly he was keen to tell me the Sky telephone number as I used one of the cheaper numbers .(I couldn't get the freephone number to work !)
Kids will be happy with their programmes back.0 -
Does Sky still do the "magic eye" does anyone know? I have Sky installed in my living room - not attached to a telephone line - and I would like to be able to watch it in the kitchen when I am cooking, and it would be good to have in my bedroom too! In my old house we had this years ago. It would solve the problem of a freeview box in the kitchen, attached to an aerial outside that I would have to buy, install and climb up on to the roof to do, have tried a freeview box but it wont work as the signal is no good here.
I know this sounds stupid as I had one before, but do they need any wiring to work in another room? And I shall have a look on Ebay! thanks
Yes you do need wiring, you will need a coax cable from the RF2 output on the Sky box to additional TVs to be able to watch Sky on those sets. The Magic Eye will allow you to control the Sky box from an additional TV by sending the Sky remote control signal from the additional TV back to the Sky box via the same coax cable that is sending the Sky picture to the additional TV. I have Sky hooked up to several televisions in my house, all with Magic Eyes and I can control the Sky box from any set.0 -
Rang Sky myself and was told, adamantly, that no such offer existed, for anyone. Operator suggested anyone who was posting such a thing was a big fibber (that was the gist of it anyway). So that's you told, JAJ and getmeoutofhere!
KerryM seems to have gone quiet. Perhaps she was a bit overwhelmed with it all and is lying down in a darkened room?
Anyway, I'm off to see what Virgin have to offer. It may not be as good but, hopefully, they don't treat their customers like idiots!0 -
I last PM'd with Kerry last Friday when she was meant to go ahead and arrange an offer for me. I've not heard anything since then.
To be fair to her, I gather from other posts on the forum, she only works part time at Sky and it may be that people here are expecting instantaneous responses. Equally, I should imagine that she has been overwhelmed with people wanting cheap or free offers.
Time will tell whether she can deliver.
Still, it would be nice to know, I admit.0
