Rang Sky myself and was told, adamantly, that no such offer existed, for anyone. Operator suggested anyone who was posting such a thing was a big fibber (that was the gist of it anyway). So that's you told, JAJ and getmeoutofhere!

KerryM seems to have gone quiet. Perhaps she was a bit overwhelmed with it all and is lying down in a darkened room?

Anyway, I'm off to see what Virgin have to offer. It may not be as good but, hopefully, they don't treat their customers like idiots!

    Peartree.....

    My understanding (and previous experience) is that if you speak to customer services, this is the line they will take (i.e the prices are the prices and we do not do deals). You need to say that you wish to cancel - it is when you are transferred to the customer retention people that you may be offered cheap Sky+ etc;

Did you say that you wishwed to cancel or not? - this is key!

    Hi all,

Ive not vanished but you lot are keeping me more than busy.

I do work part time in the evenings. My inbox is full as so many people are needing my help and the messages are coming in faster than I can read them.

To anyone who is waiting on my help, please do not post on here what I can do for you as I will end up getting the sack.

Im offering help as I am not without problems myself with Sky, and also in a position to help.

Please be patient as it will take me weeks to get through everyone but I'll get there.

    Thanks Surfprof,

I think some people forget I am trying to help and I'll do what I can, you included.

Off to work soon to see what I can do.

As I said earlier, they will deny any offers exist if you call them.

Does anyone know if I will get a new or refurb box? The guy never mentioned refurbished.

Does anyone have any offers on SKY HD. I wouldn't mind paying the £43 for the full package if the box was free and there was no extra HD charge!

No HD offers when I rang.

Regarding Sky + it seems to be £49 for a new box or £0 (i.e. free) for a refurbished box.

    Whoohoo!
I'm happily back with Sky. Please ignore my PM Kerry!

Free Sky+ box, Sky+ and 4 mixes for GBP18. That'll do me. And the good news is, because I've taken up the offer soon people will get offered 6 months half price with no tie in :p
