I know this sounds stupid as I had one before, but do they need any wiring to work in another room? And I shall have a look on Ebay! thanks

So I slashed out and got myself an HD ready plasma, thought I would upgrade from Sky + to Sky HD. So I phone them up. The deal is Sky HD plus the old sky + put in as multi room package. The cost £299 plus monthly subscription of £10 per month for HD & £10 per month for the multi room. To just have Sky HD and no multi room is £299 plus £60 installation. Hey they are a business, I can see that they want to make money.
So I go for Sky HD plus multi room. It gets booked up for Monday the 7th May. What happens ? come 09.40am the sky engineer phones. Sorry I have 4 engineers sick cant fit it today, but any other day. So now rebooked for later on during the week !!! but have decided to drop the multi-room and just gone with Sky HD.
How did I now that nothing ever runs smoothly when dealing with sky, I just wish somebody like Virgin or some other TV network would take Sky on properly and come up with some decent competition because I for one would switch. It seems that the problem with Sky is that they know they offer the biggest and best and just accept everyone else to swallow up to them.
    Typical sky !!!!

Hey KerryM should be a PM waiting for you from me. Am defo interested in the offer but need to know details - installation charge etc. Also you stated that to get around it you would refund £49 onto my account when it shows up, does that mean you would charge to my Sky account or my Debit card, if so it would show straight away on my D card
  • Hi Kerry

Have also sent you a PM

As an old customer who cancelled 3 months ago, I had Sky phone me last night offering free Sky+ and free install, and they said the £10 subscription for not having premium channels had been dropped. I took them up on the offer, so could I expect a new Sky+ box or a refurb as nothing was mentioned?
