Hi - i dont know if anyone else has posted about this - but last week i phoned telewest/VM to cancel the television part of my package as i am moving abroad and just wanted to keep hold of my telephone and broadband until i go. i was on the basic package (which has changed now to M, L and XL - or something like that). When i phoned to cancel the TV part which i think was around £13 p/m i was told that it was no problem to cancel it and that actally Freeview is available for free and they promptly switched my package to Freeview - therefore no charges for the TV. I wonder how long this has been going on!!!!anybody else know about this?

    Telewest/Virgin Media Deals

Thought i would share with you my good deal with VM, phoned them last week, told them i wasn't happy paying so much and losing sky - even though i never even watched it, (they didn't need to know that bit!).
Anyway i have now got the following package:

    Line Rental
TV Package XL which was upgraded for me from L package
    Broadband L

    All for £24

Kids are very happy, disney channels, nickelodeon etc.
Hubby happy, history channel, more discovery channels etc.
Wife happy, cheaper bill, we were paying £43, the only drawback was we had to stay with them for 12months. For this price i don't mind.

Good Luck, if you don't ask you don't get!

I'm interested in getting Multiroom, I already pay for the full package & BB & Skytalk. When I had SKY+ fitted I had an extra cable run from the dish to the location where the multiroom will be, if I sign up will I have to fit the telephone cable myself and if not what will the charges be? Is there a minimum contract for this and any deals on at the minute ;)

Sorry if this has been covered (90+ pages is a lot to read through)

    Hi Babblequak,

You do need to connect your multiroom box to a fixed tel line for 12 months. If you do not have a telephone connection for your multiroom box, could you not use a telephone extension for this.
Sky do not put in telephone connections for you.

If you had multiroom installed when you installed your Sky+ box you could have paid a one off payment of £25.00 and your box would not have to be connected to a telephone line.

If you could sort out your telephine connection, I could arrange an extra box free of charge and no installation.

    Hope this helps

    Thanks Kerry,

I could sort the phone out no probs + I already have my old SKY box, I'll trade the "extra box free of charge and no installation." for a deal though ;)

    Hi Bubbapump,

Sky are doing Sky+ for £49.00 and free installation. You can get a free refurbished ( A Grade) Sky+ Box and these can be like new machines. I can do a new box for free but it can be hard to do as the link for me to do this on my pc is sometimes taken off.

You would start another 12 month contract.

The only other way I could do it for you would be to take payment of £49.00, wait till it shows on your account and refund it back to you.( for the problems you have had lol). I do this option very often.

Let me know what you think.
