Kerry,
I've just read you're reply properly, so after 12 months it's ok to unplug the telephone to the back of the 2nd box? Also let's not beat about the bush here some people have had multiroom given for free how come? I can understand sweetners for sports/movies but multiroom thrown in.0 -
Hi There,
I to am wanting to upgrade to Sky+, but having been with sky for a few years and having the full package along with sky talk & Sky BB max I am loathed to pay £99 for it.
Phoned Sky last night and got put through to the cancellations dept whereby I was told that currently Sky + is £99 with £60 installation but as a special offer they would do free installation!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! when I told the guy that it comes with Free installation anyway he tried to fob me off with it bing a brand new offer that had just come out.........................................
Looks like I may go for the V+ box unless you can help at all Kerry0 -
I've been with sky for about 4 years or so, had various deals at one time or other, atm I've been without a sky contract for a couple of weeks, after I cancelled it. Funny all the other times this has happened sky have been battering my eardrums offering me good deals
Nothing this time, I got a letter this morning from them....... this is it I thought, nope just a nice letter telling me all the new stuff they are doingall the "new" stuff thats been around for ages anyway. No deal offered
I don't mind really, living without sky isn't going to kill me, but it shows they aren't so desperate as they used to be, maybe people are getting worried about analogue signal being turned off and going to them in droves.“Pleasure of love lasts but a moment, pain of love lasts a lifetime.”0 -
Chunky77, Beer 2006 can you please PM me and I will see what i can do for you both.

Hi,
very new to the whole MSE thing and esp this board - so please bear with me!
I have just moved into a new build house and been considering my options for TV....SKY is currently no.1 as cable dont serve the area (yet?).... however;
1) I noticed a SKY engineer come out to my neighbour the other day and it turns out that given the location of the house standard installation wouldnt work. (I havent had a chance to speak to the neighbours to find out all the info as didnt want to be too nosey!)
Assuming its some sort of special installation (maybe on a tall pole or summat) how do I go about arranging this - and what about cost? Have looked on the website and cant find anything out....
2) As im a new to SKY customer I take it I will get a good deal - whats the best on offer at the mo? Im thinking of going for sky+ and maybe multiroom if the offer is ok.
Would really appreciate your thoughts here.
Thanks in advance0 -
Hi Kerry,
I'm also interested in getting Sky - new customer.
Would like Sky +, min 4 mixes and possibly movies...
What would be the best offer you could give me? would be willing to reach a compromise - e.g. If we take on movies could we get the Sky+ box free (rather than the £49 with free install?) or if I get my friend to refer me could I get the Sky+ box instead of vouchers?
Thanks in advance for your help - feel free to PM me...0 -
SKY rang me yesterday evening. Am I happy with the service? Have I had any offers before? Would I be interested again?
I've only got 4 mixes for £18 at the mo. Offered me 3 months movies at half price, which I took and I've now got until August. I've had this on and off for the last 3 years and always end up cancelling at the end of the offer period.
Always toyed with the idea of SKY+ but have never wanted to fork out the up front costs, miser that I am. If I didn't have to pay for the box or installation, I'd probably be quite happy to keep the movies package all year round, since I'd be able to record them. Not interested in multiroom though.
They never seem to budge from the £99, £49, pay installation, "there's no offers" available on equipment stance. Odd really, when they ring me each time to offer me other packages. Equipment would be a better incentive.0 -
Hi all,
Been reading all your posts and problems you have been having with Sky.
I work for Sky in their Customer Care Dept so if I can be of help to anyone please feel free to ask. I will do what I can
Hi Kerry
I am an existing Sky + customer and am looking to upgrade my package to include movies for the 43.50 a month ( I currently pay 37 for the sports). I am also looking to get an upgraded Sky + box as the box i have does not have the greatest memory capacity on it and I know that the newer boxes can store loads of recordings.
Any advise as to what offers are available to me I really dont want to have to pay £99 + installation for a new box when I have been a loyal customer for many years0 -
Rak5 you have PM
Kerry
