Paypal Top Up card

I have never as yet had a problem topping the card up using my pp balance0

Well I had a very helpful email from Paypal.
In response to the question "How do I top up my Paypal Topup Card from funds in my Paypal Account"
Good old Daryl replied "It is not possible to top up your Paypal Account from your Topup card, you can only transfer fund into your paypal account from a bank account"
He then explained in great detail how to attach a bank account to my paypal account and transfer funds from the bank account into the paypal account.
Shame, his email started out so promising too!
"Thank you for contacting PayPal in regard to topping up funds from a card.
My name is Daryl Imma and I just need to let you know that your happiness
and satisfaction is our first aim and it is my pleasure to assist you"0 -
So is that the question you asked?geordie_joe wrote: »Well I had a very helpful email from Paypal.

OK so Paypal answered the wrong question.
Right, I've just topped up my account from Paypal, no problem.
Go to paypal.co.uk/topupcard
Click on 'online account manager'
Log in with your account number and password.
You should end up on the account page. Click on 'top up'
enter the amount you want to top up with and you get redirected to Paypal, log in with Paypal when requested then your top up is complete.
Any problems with that there is either something wrong with your account or possibly your PC (clear cache & Cookies)..0 -

Nope at this point, after logging into Paypal I go to a page that asks me to select a funding method, but the only option is by echeck from my bank account.
If the way you have topped up is correct then YOU have no option to top up from your bank account. It didn't ask you, just assumed you wanted to top up from your paypal account as soon as you logged into paypal!Any problems with that there is either something wrong with your account or possibly your PC (clear cache & Cookies).
There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with my account, had it for years and never had a problem. Tried clearing cookies/cache but that didn't work.
PS. there is over £100 in my payal account, and the FAQ says there is no lower limit for funding from paypal accounts.0 -
Well it has never taken money from my bank account, don't know what else it could be.geordie_joe wrote: »Nope at this point, after logging into Paypal I go to a page that asks me to select a funding method, but the only option is by echeck from my bank account.

Got another reply from Paypal ( The Bold is my doing)I understand that you would like to top up your Top up Card from your
PayPal Balance.
No worries, Mr.
. I will do my best to help you with your concern today.
Please be advised that you can only transfer funds from your PayPal account
to your bank account and in order to assist you further, I suggest that you
contact the Top Up card Department at 0845 301 2797 because they are the
one who handles this kind of concern.
Unfortunately it was the Top Up Card Department that told me I can top up the card from my paypal balance and I should contact Paypal to sort it out.0 -
I always top up from my pp balance, I'm even that sad that if I have a fiver pp balance I top my card up with that too lol - never had a problem, instead of emailing them, have you tried to phone them?that way when they give the answer to the wrong question you can correct it there and then. The only time it comes from my credit card is if I say want to top up £100 and I only have £25 pp balance, it will take that, then take £75 from my credit card.0
