when you apply for your paypal prepaid card you have to link it to your paypal account then, I did not link it when I applied and rang them when card recieved and they had to cancel the card and I re-applied and linked it at time of application.
I would add I have had mine now for approx 3 week, have topped up by paypal and paypoint and have spent in a number of places with no problem.
I am using mine for my shopping each week and think it is greatTOTAL 44 weeks lose. 6st 9.5lb :T0 -
********Please note..if you register for a paypal top up card it all sounds great..but i got one in July [ which arrived extremely quickly}..but when i went to transfer my money out of my paypal account onto it..i couldn't remember the password i registered.
So I clicked on the link to reset my password by email...NOTHING HAPPENED... i have contacted them 5/6/7 times a week since by phone ... and they are still correcting the problem...we are now in September....I REALLY AM NOT HAPPY!!!..:mad:They still are unaware when this problem will be solved my response from them was " How long is a piece of string, is the same answer as to when my password may take to sort out!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"
So anyoine appling for this card please record your password to save the endless phone calls i have had to make for plenty of weeks..:mad:Ebay Bag A Day Challenge 2012- :staradmin

ok guys I am correcting my mistake.
the credit card thing was something else that just by sheer coincidence was roughly the same I topped up my paypal card with. So paypal topup did work correctly for me.
The only glitch seemed to be the place I used the card at said authorisation took over half a day when it usually only takes a few minutes.0 -

Check your junk email  Thats where they sent my password reset to!"There are two groups of people in the world:
Those who can be categorized into one of two
groups of people, and those who can't..."
I am sure than you can't be sure of anything apart from the fact that this statement is true.0 -
Hi there, know this thread hasn't been used in a few months but hoping someone will know the answer. I recently got the paypal top up card and when I try to top it up it says on the message screen that everything was successful but it's not showing on my paypal account that its come out and obviously not showing on the card either, I have tried transferring money to it from my paypal funds on 3 different days this week and still nothing, has this happened to anyone else and if so how did you fix it? ThanksOctober make £5 a day: £196.40 :j0

Seems to be an error somewhere.
When I do a transfer I get instantly an email confirming the transfer and my paypal balance is instantly reduced. Within 5 minutes it will show on my paypal statement. It should appear on the topup card balance the next day and can occur during the day so appears to be processed manually.
These topup cards seem limited tho, I am unable to make payments to capital one using the card, and one online retailer told me they had to wait all day for a payment to clear when on cards its usually minutes at the most.0 -
I wish I had read this thread before topping up from my paypal account to my top up card for the first time.
Nowhere on the top up site does it mention there will be a delay. I was expecting the funds to show up immediately on my top up account as it had been successfully completed according to my paypal account.
I tried calling the top up contact numbers and the 0845 number sounded like a totally different company and asked for an extension no?? Then I called the 01908 number and that one just kept ringing. I panicked and called paypal and spent 25 minutes on the phone going round in circles. The guy just kept saying the money had left my paypal account and those where the only numbers he had for the top up department.
So now, my money is in no-man's-land and I will have to wait till Tuesday (today is Sunday) to see if it appears. I wish I had just transferred it to my bank account where I can at least speak to someone if there is a problem.
If only I had known that my funds would not be available immediately, I would have not worried and planned accordingly. I am now anxiously waiting for my funds to appear.0 -
It takes 24 hours for your funds to be on your Paypal card. so it sould be on today if you transferred it on Sunday.0

as a rule of thumb, I have found no matter what time I top up one day, it becomes available about 2pm the next (it does state though quite clearly it is within 24hrs) - I know others who have said the same so it seems early pm is their maintenance time.0
