Paypal Top Up card
Comments

Hi. I was wondering - as I am getting a little bit of cash every week and I dont want to have it in my wallet (it goes out very fast) I decided to go for Paypal topup card.
The main reason is - I dont want to add funds to my paypal account using my bank account but any spare cash that I have. So I thought (correct me if I'm wrong) - get the cash, topup paypal card, link the card with paypal account and use it to pay f.e on ebay. Is it true?
Can you tell me?
- is the paypal topup card account different than usual online paypal account? if so can I transfer the money between the card and paypal account BOTH ways?
- can I link my topup card to my paypal account instead of my usual debit card
To my knowledge:
1. You can't transfer money both ways between the card and your PayPal balance. You can only top up the card from your PayPal funds.
2. You can't pay for ebay purchases using the card.
3. You can't link the card to your PayPal account as the backup funding source.
4. You can't use the card to pay for any type of subscription, i.e.; water, gas, electricity, broadband bills etc. It can be used for consumer goods.0 -
Hi
Sorry to drag up an old thread, but has anyone tried to apply for a card in the last few days- I keep getting an error saying it cannot be processed and to try again. Customer services havent a clue too
Not sure if it counts for the date you wrote the above, but I had a letter stating that no more Paypal Cards could be applied for. Don't quote me on this, but I'm sure it said something about changing the company that is linked with it (currently RBS).
Have a google - you should find something helpful
