I just called them, got through, although nice manager man saud they don't open until 1pm - they were having to deal with the meltdown yesterday.
I originally was going for the discounted rate, but the guy said I'd be better on the cap til 2009 deal (I knew I should have sorted it out last week!) so it llooks like it's still running - just.
But means I can't get my £72 cashback from quidcoThis year I'm getting organised once and for all, and going to buy a house with my wonderful other half. And that' s final!

I signed up through moneysupermarket at 9 a.m. on Monday (£30 cashback) after Martin had been on Breakfast News. If only we had heeded his warnings a few weeks back.
I received an email from moneysupermarket saying my "application" would be forwarded to SP and if there were any problems with it they would contact me direct. It said that it would take 4 weeks or something to switch.
Well, how quickly will I know if its been okayed - I shall be sick as a parrot if they just stockpile any internet application whilst they deal with phone ones.0 -

I signed up via moneysupermarket after Martin's email (either Fri or Sat night).
Still waiting for any communicate other than the initial one you also got.
Kind of worried that they won't honour the fixed til Aug 09 deal.0 -
Am a SP customer so can log in to my account and change tariffs on-line ....theoretically. I completed the on-line process only to get this message:
"Sorry, we are unable to change your service package right now as we are processing a change to your payment details.
You may have requested this on our website or by telephone. Alternatively, we may be reassessing your monthly payment amount if you pay by Direct Debit. If so, you will receive notification of this by letter.
This may take up to two weeks, after which time you will be able to change your service package".
Er, no I haven't changed anything, nor asked for a change, and our monthly DD is in credit. This feels like an excuse to STOP me from switching to their Fixed Price tariff , and in 2 weeks it will be too late. I feel a complaint coming on...

I got the same message so contacted them the "contact us" link and got confirmation the following day that they had changed my account to the fixed tariff. Pretty good service in my opinion.4kW 8.33 Eternity (2.5kW SSE 1.5kW WSW). Glinton, Cambridgeshire.0 -
Sorry to be a thicko here - but you know they say they have received our "applications" at SP - but the switch will take 4 to 8 weeks? The prices we are fixed at are TODAYS arent they???. I mean should they bung their charges up by 30% tomorrow what price would we pay in the capped deal when it comes through
I noticed WHEN I did get through to their site earlier it said fixed til Sept. 2009. Just noticed on their home page there is, bottom left, a link to enquire about processing of your application - but when you click on it nothing happens.0 -
I'd imagine that what you were told and confirmed over the phone will be the price that you will pay so don't worry about it!:beer:0

I've just got off the phone to SP having switched from British Gas. Got the fixed rate till 2009.
Phone the number as posted above.0 -
Guys
I cannot get through to scottish power online.... tried 4 numbers and get dumped by thier system as it sasy too busy.
I have tried online to change, having loged into thier site. The site is so slow... then times out.
What am I to do!?!?!?
I am desparate!
I feel I will miss out on the capped deal... as a result of thier inability to provide a service... thier fault?!?!?
