Theyve quoted £116 to me. How are they working out these charges? Have they already contacted our old suppliers?0

I have been quoted £71 per month. When I switched to SP, I entered annual usage figures of 12000 kwh for gas and 4000 kwh for electricity. Those were based on figures over the last 12 months. Previously I was paying £45 per month for gas and £28 per month for electricity with NPower Juice.0

I never got an email but got my confirmation letter yesterday (7th August) after I applied online on 30th July (by cut and pasting the link to the withdrawn offer into the address bar). Quidco tracked and the letter suggests 4-6 weeks for switch to take effect. Scottish power eventually returned my original call when I tried to switch by phone. I said I'd switched online but could they check it had gone through. The woman said she had no way of checking the status. Maybe they can't see pending accounts?
I'm a bit annoyed because E.oN have just billed me, which means I'll lose the normal discount I'd get over the time it'll take to switch.
Same here markbloke, my letter arrived yesterday (8th). I'm a bit surpised by the £185 a month they quoted me for the DD charge thoughI pay £45 for gas and £55 for electric with my current supplier Swalec (SSE). Phoned them up and they say it cannot be changed until I come across

I signed up 2 weeks ago and have not received anything in writing. Had a phone call from SP today but they very vague and said as long as I had seen the confirmation screen the switch should go through in 6-8 weeks.
I've been waiting for the letter as I'm still not convinced I've made the right decision and wanted to decide during the cooling off period.0 -
Having not received a confirmation letter for my July 27th application, I have finally got SP to honour my original transaction - took a few chase e-mails, but for there in the end.
