    I thought I got a good deal with this - but can you guys advise if not, as I have a couple of weeks to return if not satisfied?!. Last night after speaking to O2 retentions (never had an iphone before but been with them for years) I signed to;

Free iphone 3GS 16gb (refurb - or 'as good as new'?),
    600 mins/500 txts,
    unlimited internet
    18 months
    £31 (inclusive of VAT)

    Whaddya reckon?

i've just been offered this exact same deal, i'm really pleased with it! tried calling upgrades and they were useless, but tried again calling to 'cancel' my simplicity deal (so, retentions) and suddenly they were much more interested in keeping me as a customer :D

o2 PAYG iphone's can now be unlocked for a fee of £14 odd which might be of use to some of you :) Previously you had to wait 12 months.
  • I'm looking at getting the iphone. Which deal do people feel is generally better?

    1) Tesco 12 month £20 p/m £320 phone price
    2) 02 simplicity £20 p/m £440 phone price

02 simplicity as your not bound to a contract.

I've just managed to get this from a lovely guy in retentions, he actually couldn't have been more helpful. He first offered me the same deal but with a 16GB iPhone at £31 a month, but I think it's worth the extra £4 a month for the bigger capacity. I can get rid of my iPod Touch now!

    Free refurbished iPhone 3GS 32GB
    600 minutes and 500 texts
    Unlimited internet and data
    18 months
    £35 p/month

O2 because you get much more for your £20 per month. It also means you could sell your iPhone if they introduce a newer model. I know it's more upfront than the Tesco deal but the O2 deal is much better value when all things are considered.

It's all speculation abotu the 4G iPhone being released in June, If anyone is due for renewell, I would go down the o2 simplicity route so your not bound to a 12/18 or even 24 month contract!

A upgrade at the moment Apple release a new iPhone (expected to be 12 months)

I'd get the details on that before commiting myself.

o2 have in the past let all their customers upgrade to the latest Iphone when released, you pay the full retail price of the phone and they let you upgrade, and extend your contract to 18 months.
