    Hi

    O2 have offered me a reconditioned 16GB 3GS for £35 per month, 600 mins 500 texts.
    £99 for the handset.

    Sound like a good deal?

    18 or 24 months?
what savings you getting to a new contract?

personally i'm still looking for a £25/month option
i know tesco do it for £20 but the outlay of £320 is too much for me

18 months is what they offered. A rubbish offer I think you'd agree - I'd be better off taking out a new contract for 18months (£35pm 600mins 500 texts, £99 for brand new handset). I'm on O2 simplicity having siwthced from a pay monthly account which I've with O2 for years a few months ago. Sounds like they're not prepared to offer me that much of a deal at the moment.

I'm tempted by the Tesco deal as I am really keen on the 12 month contract. Think I will wait until the new year to decide now though.

    Hi Folks,
I have an iphone 3g 8gb with o2 on a 600min and 500 texts, unlimited data. I do not need so many minutes and texts, half of them will do for me, and do not need a new handset, but I need the unlimited data. I am not too happy with o2 because in London the network is always congested and very slow or unusable like in waterloo station.
Any suggestions from you? Can I unlock my iphone and move to a better network/cheaper tariff?
    thanks
  • Hey all,

I think I've decided to bite the bullet and buy a PAYG iphone (eep!). I'm on the £20 o2 simplicity tarif, and I'm reluctant to sign up to anything which locks me in as I tend to move abroad a lot, so at least I can terminate simplicity when I want. So two questions for you......

What's my best way of buying a PAYG (16g 3gs) iphone? Obviously, there's nothing in it in terms of price and there seem to be a few £10 cashback deals on quidco, but as a clubcard lover I quite fancy the points I'd get - am I being foolish? is there anything better? and can anyone actually confirm that tesco phones also work on o2? I do love o2, they sent me a bar of green and black's the other week so i am retained for life. Appalling customer service but still I forgive them. what a sucker.

Also, should I just be sensible and buy an ipod touch instead?! I'm scared! ;)

    Advice much appreciated all!

I'm gutted, I can't get the 30% off a month through my work anymore. It's changed to a cashback deal, so I will just get £75 upfront credit to my o2 account where as before I was saving about £10 a month (£180 over 18 months)
I suppose if I don't upgrade they will have to keep charging me at the current tariff price I am paying now?

It's a ipod not a iPhone but my wifes ipod has been back to apple five times with battery issues. They don't fix then they just send a replacement and the old one gets fixed and is then a refurb.

People that cancel their contract within 14 days, and probably from Apple directly.

I managed to get (for free)

    32Gb white iphone 3gs
refurb'd (good as new I am told )
18 mnth contract at £35 per month

I was told that the refurb'd units are returns from customers who terminated within the first 14 days of contract. These are sent back to Apple and made to be in as new condition and carry full 12 month warranty. I asked whether they'd be any cosmetic issues like scratches but assured they are made to be as new and as such will be scratch free. Hoping this to be the case.

Ordered yesterday and they said it will be with me today. Fingers crossed !
