I managed to get (for free)

    32Gb white iphone 3gs
refurb'd (good as new I am told )
18 mnth contract at £35 per month

I was told that the refurb'd units are returns from customers who terminated within the first 14 days of contract. These are sent back to Apple and made to be in as new condition and carry full 12 month warranty. I asked whether they'd be any cosmetic issues like scratches but assured they are made to be as new and as such will be scratch free. Hoping this to be the case.

Ordered yesterday and they said it will be with me today. Fingers crossed !

Hi, where did you order it from?

Anyone know where are O2 getting all these refurb phones from ?

Apple don't repair faulty phones at point of service, they just replace, so they'll fix and send them to the networks at a reduced price I imagine.
  • This may be a silly question...but if I buy an I-phone on pay as you go with O2, do I have to top up every month to still get the unlimited data and wifi?

The reason I ask is that I won't be using it for calls/texts as I have a company mobile. I just want the I-phone for e-mail, the internet and sat nav and other apps.

I've never had a pay as you go phone so don't know how they work!

top up £10 once and the 12 month web/wifi bundle will start. No further top ups are needed for it to continue. If you still want it after 12 months it will then need a monthly £10 top up.

got it from O2 direct - went through to cancellations/retentions and that was the offer they came up with ( once I mentioned I'd seen someone else had been offered the same deal )

    hope it helps
  • d123 - Sorry but can you clarify the package as I've looked on the o2 site and I can't see the unlmited web option? Does this package mean you get free web anywhere or is it just through wi-fi spots?

    Thanks in advance
You laugh because I'm different - I laugh because you're all the same

I dont suppose this offer of refurb phones is available to new customers??? I`d be more than happy to get a refurb at a much reduced price on a much better contract. I know the chances are slim though but I had to ask anyway! :)

Is the same true for Orange and Tesco?
