  • I know some of this info has already been posted here but here is all the handsets/tarriffs in one place, so if anyone is looking, the Tesco deal is as follows in store:

Tesco iPhone is available via 3 options

    • PAYG
    • 12m Contract
    • 24m Contract
    On PAYG the handsets cost £342 8G £440 16G(s) £538 32G(s) & a £15 a month top-up would earn you £30 worth of credit
On the 12 month contract you would be required to pay £20 per month & have the handsets cost either £222 8G £320 16G(s) £407 32G(s) with £60 per month of credit which covers both texts & calls
The 24 month option is a mere £60 per month which bags you a free 16G(s) handset with unlimited calls & texts.
Never asked about their wifi/interent usage on any of these tarriffs.
I think I might go with Orange, I don't think Vodaphone will be too much different in price when they offer the iPhone in the New Year & I don't want to wait any longer. Hope this is useful. The annoying thing with Tesco mobile is it is only offered in a small percentage of stores.

Pretty good deal that, looks like they are not pushing them ridiculous 24 month contracts as much now!

same here how do you get this deal as I cant see it
  • My o2 contract is due for renewal soon but instead I called to request a pac code. I'm very happy with o2 but Orange is offering more min and texts.

I thought of giving o2 a chance so i called them again and asked them to match the Orange deal plus a refurb phone (previously read someone on here asking for one).

I was surprised to hear they were giving me the 3GS for free for 18months at £30p/m :D

I pushed my luck and asked for free broadband (they offered this first time I call to request the pac code) which they also amazingly agreed to.

I grab the deal and run off, phone should be here tomorrow:j

    Good luck!!

  • Hi,

As you may know topcashback.com are offering £150 cashback on new orange contract purchases. I was on pay as you go paying roughly £20 per month and in need of a new phone so I signed up to a 24 month "Racoon" deal and got a free Motorola DEXT.

I've posted the phone for sale on gumtree and ebay and have had interest already. I expect to sell the phone for £200 but could get more. With that and the £150 cashback, I have enough to buy a new iphone 3GS off of ebay.

So essentially I will have a new iphone on orange for £20 a month with 400 minutes, 300 texts and unlimited evening and weekend landline calls..

I hope that all works out ok, will be a good deal if it does! It might be worth seeing if you can get some mobile internet use included in that though, because there's not much point in having an iPhone if you're having to pay per MB of internet use!
