I got one today at the Horwich store (near Bolton). Was advised that they received 70 units (mix of colours and specs). It was a complete mess, arrrived at 8:15am and was advised they couldn't sell me one until 9:00am. Went back at 9 to find 2 people being served already.
Customer service staff couldn't process the orders and didn't seem to know the tarriffs, I ended up going back again at lunchtime to see if things had improved. From the stressed look on the faces of the mobile sales team, it looked like they were having a bad day.
Finally got the phone at just before 2pm and to top it all their tills weren't processing cards and so everything was being done manually.
Might be worth giving them a day or so to works out the bugs.
Really disappointing buying experience.Keep smiling,

Bought today in Chorley. They were pretty quiet when I got there but the staff said that they had been overrun all morning. Even so, they had all the models available so I went for the 12 month £20 p.m. contract. Lots of people looking (mainly staff on lunchtime) although nobody else bought during the 20 minutes I was there.
I asked about the tethering option which might be of use to me in the future but was told it's not available with Tesco mobile even though O2 offer it.0 -

Cashbackkings are doing an Orange offer with £80 cashback for pay monthly contracts. Depending on the tarriff you choose the phone could cost as little as £7.

So we have 3G S, 3G and 2G, was there ever a 1G?
Im thinking of getting a 2G from ebay what do you think? Is the only different the download speeds?0 -
Remember the much hyped Tesco Iphone with the 'revolutionary' 12 month contract?
Well a day late you can now buy Iphones on the Tesco site - that is if you are willing to buy PAYG because they are not offering Iphones with contracts after all. Their PAYG price is a whole 40p cheaper than O2!
They'll probably hope that there'll be some sort of feeding frenzy and people will buy PAYG ignoring the fact that they've been lied to.0 -
Still an indication of pay monthly phones here http://phone-shop.tesco.com/iphonelanding/?eml=eml2_dec09
However when you click buy now you get to the PAYG options onlyWe all evolve - get on with it0 -

I've just bought one direct from O2. I can't be bothered to play Tesco's games - life's too short.0
