  • I too have been waiting and waiting in the land of promise and although haven't received a phone, are still getting awful service from 02. On your advice I sent an email 3/4days ago ......so will be interested to see how they respond !

    Had my response back from 02 yesterday. What a waste of time. They apologised that the iphone was not in stock and that was it. There response was to keep trying. Think its time to look elsewhwere ! Still think I may send a final snot-o-gram though !
  • husband now also had his iphone, del in 2 working days...so to sum up, we've both used 02 website, ordered 8g refurbished iphone £30 tariff (mine an upgrade, his a first contract) and both had them delievered in 3 days max.
    Don't understand why others are still hearing they are out of stock. Husbands arrived this wed, ordered Mon evening

    i shall give them time to answer, if not satisfactory i shall email them at the complaints email above and send hard recorded copy to their complaints dept. And yes it is just the phone i want now rather than get out of the contract.

    TBH after using the phone for a week or so im pretty pleased with it as i have downloaded an app for video recording solving that problem.

    T-Mobile Deal for existing customers - I am due an upgrade and was haggling for a new deal on my Blackberry. When I enquired about the Iphone they told me that they could do the following package but they don't advertise it,

    1200mins
    Unlimited Texts
    Unlimited Landline Calls
    Wifi/Internet
    Total = £38per month for the 16gb 3GS

    I'm going to hold out until the new model is out but it may be of interested to some of you.

    i found the cheapest way for me was to get free blackberry upgrade from orange which came with 3g sim, i then sold this on on ebay for £250 and bought a new iphone 3gs off there for £379 effective cost £129! i have now put my orange sim in, so pay just £15 per month on 18 month contract with 800 mins, 300 text and unlimited internet, which i think would cost me around £40 on a iphone tariff.

    far cheaper than any of the other deals on offer even tesco!

    I would love to have an iPhone. I expect I will have to buy one as I spend 6mths here and 6 in Oz so wouldn't want to be tied in to a contract. I would need to be able to change the sim card depending on which country I am in. Any suggestions as to the best/cheapest way for me to do this please?

    where did you get that idea from?

    Jailbreaking and software unlocking might impact on warranty but simply using another sim from the same network has no bearing on warranty.
