did you have to ring up to get this? I cant find anywhere on the tesco website for this deal?
I bought a 16gb 3gs outright today for £450 off O2 and then signed up to a 12 month sim only deal £20 per month 600 mins, unlimited texts and unlimted internet but went via quidco to get £100 cash back on the sim only deal. Would have been easier to go with the deal you got though!0 -
Hi I posted for the first time a week or two ago, and noted my poor experiences trying to get a recon 3gs through o2... Two weeks of frustration, poor customer service, having to request a 3g sim three times and still receiving nothing etc etc
I emailed the complaints team and after a week heard back, various credits have now been agreed not least a 60% discount to my 35 pound tariff which will apparently last until the end of my 24 contract and beyond!
I am pleased to say the least...
Lesson here is o2 is very keen to retain customers, if you aren't happy let them know, there is a lot that they can do to help resolve!
Good luck hunting those deals!!0 -

Each time I have been very polite and patient, but now and then do you get a monster and you think what is the point. It is very frustrating, but having been lied to that they weren't having any more of the reboxed phones in, for me to call her bluff and then to be told that I was wasteing my time keep ringing, is just damn wrong from a retention point of view, as well as rude. I think if there isn't any joy by the end of the week, it will be Tesco's, here I come !
I strongly recommend that you email complaintreviewservice with details, times of calls and names if possible, you may be pleasantly surprised!
In my opinion it is fundamentally wrong to trap customers with a retention deal that presents so many barriers!
Best of luck!0 -

- Fair Usage Policy
- We may impose an upper limit on the amount of browsing that can be used as part of the Unlimited Pass. Any such limit will be clearly set out on www.tescomobile.com or in any marketing materials and will only be imposed to prevent atypical use and/or abuse.
- You must not (nor may you permit any third party to) use your SIM Card in any other device or use your SIM Card or Apple iPhone to allow the continuous streaming of any audio / video content, enable P2P or file sharing or use them in such a way that adversely impacts the service to other Tesco Mobile customers.
- We reserve the right to monitor your usage and, if we reasonably determine that your use is abusive or in breach of our fair usage policy, or which we reasonably believe excessively or continually exceeds any upper limit which is imposed we may do any or all of the following:
(i) request you to moderate your use;
(ii) impose further charges in respect of your atypical or abusive use; or
(iii) suspend or withdraw your access to the Unlimited Browsing Pass. - Where abuse or breach is suspected, we will endeavour to contact you before taking action in accordance with paragraph 20. In the case of severe abuse, as reasonably determined by us, we reserve the right to suspend your use of the Tesco Mobile Pay As You Go or Pay Monthly service, having attempted to contact you first.

Go the Tesco website, click on Iphone here now, then Why choose Tesco mobile? then pay monthly and a little pop up box comes up with tesco's tarriffs. Having just looked at it myself they have changed them since the last time I looked. You cant buy pay monthly online you have to ring 0800 0014150 or go to a tesco store with a dedicated phone shop to pick one up but you can buy pay as you go online. He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. Does anyone know how Tesco coverage and customer service compare to O2?
Their monthly tariff also offers unlimited web & wi-fi, is this the same as O2 in that it can be used anywhere in the UK?0 -

I found this in the terms and conditions section of tescomobile.com.- The Unlimited Pass allows you unlimited use of 02 UK’s Edge, GPRS, 3G and HSDPA networks and the BT Openzone Wireless LAN network, for personal internet use and email on your Apple iPhone only. All usage must be for your private, personal and non-commercial purposes.
- The Unlimited Pass only applies to use within the UK.
