I thought I'd pop in and report on my experience of getting an iPhone in store at Tesco. Very impressed as was there a good hour and a half, nothing was too much trouble, very knowledgeable staff who are not on commission so no slimy sales patter or being talked down to.
I am going to be getting my iphone from tesco as well but dont know whether to go instore or do it over the phone. How come you were there for that length of time?He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever. :A0 -
Be warned though I know of lots of people who've been offered the earth whilst no phones are in stock and it's actually only what they offer you when the 16gb 3gs is in stock that matters. So even if you phone back it won't make any difference if you accept it or not if they haven't even got the phones!QUOTE]
Seems an awful waste of energy when they cant even follow it through!:DHe who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever. :A0 -
i can get this as an upgrade with orange, 18 month contract,16gb 3gs 600mins a month, 500 texts, 750mb browsing, unlimited wifi, £99 for the phone, £36 a month. I already get free broadband with orange so want to stay with them really, is this a good deal or is there better out there?0

ive got 14 days to change my mind, and i can lower my tariff after 9 months (not sure if thats the iphone tariff) she also said if i loose my phone then they would change me to a normal tariff at the same price unless it was after the 9 months and then i can lower it too.
Ive accepted and await my phone!!! do people think this is a good deal?
gulp at the thought of that comittment, but worked it out i pay £21 a month for simplicity, and pay around £100 for a new phone which i need now. so the difference over tthe 18 months is £130 ish which is just over what i would pay for new phone.
Also my computer is about to pack up so at least i can do my emails from my pghone.

Tesco iphone wont be unlocked. You can only do that after the first 12 months but reading through these threads I gather that you can use o2 sim cards in Tesco mobiles and vice versa as Tesco use the o2 network. Let me know how you get on as I am also thinking of getting an iphone from Tesco. He who asks a question looks foolish for 5 minutes. He who doesn't ask a question remains foolish forever. :A0
