i too have been looking at the iphone with orange plus the broadband for £60.00 but dont really want a 2year contract
dose any one know if the line rental is in the £60.00?? thanks0 -
My head is pickled from looking at iphone deals trying to figure out which option is best for me.
As a small business owner I have the option of getting an iphone through their business package so I went ahead an added the options to my basket just to see what the costs would be:
16gb 3gs new (1st handset free)
600mins ultd texts and data 33.51 p/m
upgrade after 12 months
free bolt on (I chose unlimited landline calls in UK)
£402.12 1st year
£804.24 after 2 years
However when I reached checkout there was a 1 off charge of £50 against the handset. Even still this option looks to be the best for me.
Is there any difference between being a business customer and a normal customer?
Regards,
Rob
Hi Rob,
I'm a business user too, and got offered the exact same deal today for the iphone 3GS 16GB.They are emailing me the details, and apparently I can upgrade to whatever tariff i want without calling them back.
I was on a discount 500 tariff (500min for £25 inc vat) which I could stay on, but not get an upgrade on.
Since being taken over by Telefonica, good retention deals are no longer available (bit like businesses in Belfast I buy from, ie prices go up and up).
There are differences between being a business customer and a normal customer, and they aren't very accomodating if you want to switch from memory?
ANYBODY GOT ANY BETTER BUSINESS iphone DEALS ??? , please post details here.

Yeah it isso you don't need to pay BT for line rental you would pay orange instead...saves having ten million different bills i guess
Don't forget tho if you're already with BT for your line rental you might have to pay to change over to orange. (i am moving in a new flat from my mum's so i don't have to worry about that!)
its a bit naughty on the orange site...i guessed it would be a two year contract but i couldn't see the contract length anywhere! should be clearer...unless i'm blind as a bat!
I heard that O2 will be doing landlines soon...hopefully very soon! i wanna see what deal i can get out of them0 -
I'm off to the States for a few weeks. I wonder if it's cheaper to get an iPhone there?0

http://store.apple.com/us/browse/home/shop_iphone/family/iphone?mco=MTAyNTQzMjICan I buy an iPhone without an AT&T contract?
No. iPhone requires a two-year AT&T wireless service contract.
That'll be a no unfortunately.0 -
Rang 02 tonight for an update on the availability of a reboxed 3gs iphone and was told by the not very helpful lady that 02 were no longer doing these and promptly raised the possibility of a new phone. I questioned this and after a few minutes on hold, she came back and I was politely told that I shouldn't keep ringing and wasting my time to check on availability, as although they were now still offering the phone, they could not confirm when it would be in stock again. Apparently as directed by her manager. Anway when I pointed out what had been discussed on a reboxed phone deal previously had they been available and had been told to ring back on a daily basis, she shut up. Finally, the lovely lady then broke into full sales patter offering a new iphone with no perks for being a loyal cutomer or did I want an alternative phone . At that point I gave up and decided to give it a final chance another day before I go to Tesco. This was disappointing, as previously 02 had been really good.0

Hi all, this is my first time so please be kind!! I have been with O2 for about 3yrs and rang retentions today and was offered a 3GS 16gb refurb iphone
600mins
Unlim txts
Unlim wifi and 2 concert tickets= £28 month)
However the phones are out of stock so i said i would ring back tomorrow after i have had a think, Any ideas on the deal? thanks0 -
As per my earlier relpy - they are great deals - but its how long do you have to wait and how many times do you have to call. !?! Generally 02 have been very good everytime you ring retentions - with the exception of tonight ! Out of interest, was that the 24month contract ?0

In theory it's a good deal if based on 18mths and you'll see from the various posts on here what is and isn't classed as a good deal - though everyone's opinion differs!
Be warned though I know of lots of people who've been offered the earth whilst no phones are in stock and it's actually only what they offer you when the 16gb 3gs is in stock that matters. So even if you phone back it won't make any difference if you accept it or not if they haven't even got the phones!
I think it could be some time before they get them in again as O2 advised me Apple wait for a large batch before they are given to O2!~ What's for you, won't go past you! ~0 -
I would really appreciate some help please.
I'm currently with Vodaphone, but out of contract so free to switch. I would like an I-phone and it looks like O2 is the best deal?
This package looks the best option for me -
3GS 16GB
24 Month contract, 600 free mins, unlimited texts and data
£35 per month
1- On the O2 websaite in the small print it says
''data useage whilst roaming not included''
I called and asked them about this, and they advised me that just means whilst abroad. Therefore it is umlimited net useage anywhere in the UK
Is that correct?
2 - Does anyone who how much their insurance is per month?
Thanks0
