  • I'm currently on one of Orange's retention deals but about to come out of contract, unlimited texts and 400 minutes for £20 a month.

Im thinking of getting an iphone but Im a heavy user, around 800 texts a months, 200-300 minutes a month - so the Tesco deal doesnt really work out the great for me.

Is O2's 30£ a month contract best or am I better just buying an iphone direct from Apple and keeping my sim and current deal?

I ordered my Simplicity SIM on Friday afternoon but it's still not arrived. How long do these things usually take? They said they'd dispatched it via Royal Mail on Friday about an hour after I ordered. Just a bit concerned because my number's being transferred over tomorrow.

It's a computer program which adds ringtones to iTunes, it's not an app and doesn't require a jailbreak.

If I was to get a new phone and also buy an Ipod touch (which my son has and I think is great) then I would probably be spending just as much anyway dont you think? So thats why I want an iphone so that its all in one place.

Depends if you buy the new phone or get it on contract
  • Ive been reading about the reconditioned 3GS Iphones with O2, im finally in my last month of my contract and O2 are now saying they dont have any and dont think they will be getting any more of them. :( Has anyone else heard this terrible news?

I've read the last 15 pages and my head is spinning!

I am currently with Voda, who are calling tomorrow re retention. I don't care about my number so am happy to change.......what sort of deal should I be looking at for 18 months with a supplier (voda or O2) as they are available in my area (very rural)

    Thank you.
  • I found out about the 202 number Friday evening, after reading this thread. Rather thrustrating it may seem, but the 3Gs reboxed appears to have gone out of stock again Friday, with no confirmation when they will be back in stock again ! Having been offered new Iphones through CPW, O2 shops and finally retentions, they appear to not value 10years O2 loyalty as deals for new handsets are the same for both new and existing customers. In the meantime I ring 2O2 on a daily basis for any update before I bite the bullet and switch to Tesco.

Mine too about 5 days, even then they sent me out an envelope with no sim in it. You can go into an o2 shop and they will give you one.

My husband has his 16GB 3GS phone on the Tesco network and he has had no problems at all so far.
It was even cheaper with staff disount of 10% and £70 upgrade voucher.

The PAYG iPhones are currently available on 12 months interest free, so you don't necessarily have to make a big upfront payment.

You have to take the Tesco credit card out for BNPL. On the bright side you get double Clubcard points for the purchase and triple for top-ups/ contract! It's only a few quid but it all adds up. :D
