  • O2 have an iPhone Simplicity deal. Have you looked at that?

There's info on Money Saving Expert about unlocking an iPhone. Just search for 'iPhone' on the main site and you'll see it.

Currently on O2 simplicity (not iPhone) , rang them today and they said they've got 3G refurbs in stock , handset free and £28pm 18 month contract. Not quite tempted yet.

Did you speak to someone in Retentions or Upgrades? My other half phoned Retentions at lunch time today and they said they'd no refurbs in stock.

On a brighter note, my iPhone arrived today. So far so good!

If you have an old (non 3gS) iphone and have an old Nokia lying around , download Joikuspot lite.

This app turns your Nokia into a wifi hotspot and gives the iphone the potential of 3.5G :)

You'll need to google it though, im a newbie so i cant post a link yet!

  • Well I rang o2 this morning....twice.

First time I spoke to a guy who said there was absolutely nothing they could do for me as I still had 2 months left on my contract, and its only gold customers that can upgrade 3 months early...I'm a silver customer.

I rang straight back and spoke to another guy, told him what I wanted. He spent a couple of minutes looking through stuff and then said I could pay £43 to end my contract early (someone quoted me £120 last week), and I could have a brand new 16gb 3gs on 24mnth tariff, 600 mins, unlimited texts, unlimited internet and wifi for £35pm, had to pay £59 for the phone though.

I've spent too long on the phone to them so was happy with that. Its coming tomorrow. Woo Hoo.

Keep trying people, you will eventually get something along the lines of what you want. You just need to catch the right person at the right time....which is shocking really but hey ho !!

    Cronemeister,
Not sure that that is a great deal as its the same deal as new customers to O2 get, but with a £30 saving on the phone. May have been worthwhile seeing out your contract, and seeing what the 4th Gen iphone would bring.

Agreed, not such a good deal, as chances are, you'll want the new iphone when it comes out.

Best idea would be, take the phone, look at it, decide if your really going to be happy with it for 24 months and then decide within 14 days.

I switched to simplicity simply because I'll wait to see what the new iphone brings :D
:exclamatiTo the internet.. I need to complain about something!
