Keep going, you will get what you want. From now on, when you ring up, take the full nameof anyone who deals with you. Note the date and offer, if you then ring up and they say oh, there are no notes, well follow the complaints route and they will usually honour the offer.

If you're ringing on a mobile, maybe record the calls.

how do i record the calls?? i do take their name and offer written down and they say that is impossible bla bla bla..its a disgrace-i spent 30 mins on the phone the last time-and all for nothing!
  • oh and the iphone tarrifs have changed today-to unlimited texts......i think they are better-so least i wont have to push for unlimited texts just a fiver of the tarrif and if a refub-cheaper handset!
  • not happy about them lying to me yesterday!!!! i just rang up to see what they could offer me. she even said then the refurb 16 3gs was in stock yesterday (whe lyesterday they told me it had gone out of stock argh)

anyway on the new tarrifs to upgrade to iphone I was offered £35 a month, 18 months 300 mins unlimited texts £149 for the phone! Which is the same as what a new customer can get or anybody! which is rubbish loyalty!

or i was offered free 16 3g refurb 300 minutes and unlimited texts for £28 a month.
dont know wther to go for that or wait for 3gs.

    hmmmmm
  • Well I called this morning, iPhone 3G 16GB was in stock, but as it's only a Gold priority upgrade (my contract ends in May), they wouldn't cut me a deal on it, which is pretty ridiculous!

Contemplating down grading to simplicity, and immediately giving them 30 days notice.
:exclamatiTo the internet.. I need to complain about something!
  • chimpofdoom, they said the 3g 16gb was in stock to me (refurb) but not the 3gs 16gb (refurb) which I think I may wait for to come in.

if anyone finds out the 3gs 16gb refurb is in I would be gratfeul to know.

    Thanks
  • shame on orange then but o2 have always been the only uk mobile company that allow free text messages and picture messages to be taken from the customer's monthly message allowance

It appears with the new tariffs O2 released today that this option has now disappeared
  • Ok, just an FYI for any Priority customers looking to get a deal on a refurb iphone from o2.

If you are a priority customer (gold/platinum) you will not get the good deals that have been posted here. Retentions do not want to speak to you until it's your last month of your contract.

    So how to do this...

Switch to simplicity! o2 30 day rolling contracts, and give your 30 day notice, then retentions will speak to you :D

Got a pretty sweet deal, 1200mins, unlim text, ulim. web for £30 (for 30 days), instead of my previous contract, which I would of had to wait another 2 months until retentions talked.

On the phone at the moment with a nice lady in Retentions called Alison. Says there's none in at the moment.

It's unclear whether the new tariffs include MMS and texts sent from abroad. The tariff details indicate that it will cost but the small print below indicates it will.

O2 have actually increased prices on the 18 months tariffs but now included unlimited texts. They've basically rejigged most of the tariffs and now have an unlimited option.

They have also officially launched Simplicity tariffs for iPhone on 1 month and 12 month contracts.
