Which deal did you go for Siobhan? I'm thinking the 12 month one, 16gb 3GS! I also ended up phoning them to see if I could order it over the phone and they said no probs.

My contract with O2 is up in a few weeks and I don't know whether to wait until then before ringing them up to cancel and move to tesco ... hmmm decisions!

    Hi
I went for the 16gb 3GS, 12 month one. The next best deal was 18 months at £30.

I am with 02 at the moment but only on PAYG so no contract to wait until it ends.

They have been so busy with orders that it might be worth ordering now if you are up in a few weeks in case you lose out. I have been waiting since before Xmas for a good deal and at the moment this is the best, even on PAYG you pay over £500 for the phone with Tesco and then have to put credit on it.

Did you do the credit check over the phone and was it straightforward

Does it take long to get an answer

Hi, yes credit check took seconds to do and was very straightforward, all I needed was my debit card. 20 minutes in total in fact a bit less as he rushed it through so it would be finished before 12 so I could have it tomorrow :j

    Yep I got that bit.

Rang first thing this morn and explained to retentions lady my plan. As Im allowed to UG a month early I would need to leave with PAC next month. I rang again to find out how much to leave early as in now and the guy I spoke to said £44! He also added they could offer the 8gb FREE for £35pm 600min 500texts. I would have taken up that offer would the monthly charge of been £5 cheaper!

But what are you paying monthly now? I thought that you just had to pay your way out of the contract (ie I am on £35) so you just pay all the payments you would make until your contract ends to leave early.
  • Hi, i am new to the forum, i am interested in buying an iPhone from Tesco as they do 12 month contracts and mine is up for renewal in March, i have tried looking on the tesco website but the only option i get is a PAYG optioncan anyone help?

My contract date on my o2 web site states dec 09 where as when I rang them I got told it's may. Now I brought my photo in dec 08 so I assumed that was able to change my phone by 09 even thought It's 18 months. Can I use this date to argue the question?

    ATM I'm paying £30pm for 600mins and 500texts 18m with a cashback of £150.

They were offering me that iphone offer through retentions on 24month contract- the thing is thats not any "loyalty" discount or offer as its availiable for new customers on CPW website! The only thing he said to me that worked in my favour is if I did upgrade now to that offer I wouldn't have to pay the last month of my existing contract and that they port my number to O2 quicker than if I was to do so with my pac..

    Hi Lou,
the contract deal is only available in Tesco shops that have their own phone shop, if you look on tesco.com and search for shops near to you with your postcode it will bring a list up. I then phoned my nearest which was a 30 mile round trip and asked if they can do it online. My phone is delivered tomorrow with free postage. Good Luck

Got an email from Tesco Mobile today saying:

'Great news, it's now even easier to buy 'Britain's Cheapest iPhone' (- The Sun Newspaper) from Tesco Mobile.

iPhone is now available on Tesco Mobile simply by Phoning 0800 001 4150.'
