CPW people with O2.....
You are in contract with CPW, not O2. I am the same and have checked it all out. If you go to O2 now you will be credit checked by them . CPW say they have no refurb phones at all to do any deals.0 -

Thanks for that! My last question (sorry!) is there any way for me to a refurb deal? As in upgrading via O2 and being credit checked? Why I went through CPW in the first place all those year ago I don't know.. I really don't want to pay out £189 for a phone when I know others are getting them for free0 -
No one has made any comments about iPhone on T-Mobile . . . my T-Mobile contract is up for renewal and I want to upgrade to an iPhone. Where does T-Mobile fit in terms of costs, value, against other providers? thanks
I dont think the iphone is available on T-mobile at the moment. Although i have seen a recent post on this thread from a T-mobile customer who got an iphone via T-moile from chitter chatter!
heres the quote:
Not sure is this has been mentioned anywhere in this thread, but I have had an iphone 2g for the best part of 2 years unlocked so I can use it on Tmobile. My contract with Tmobile ran out in October and I haven't renewed it knowing that iphones were coming to other networks, and wanting to keep my options open and upgrade to a 3gs, however Tmobile is by far the best signal where I live(deepest darkest North Norfolk) so I thought I was stuck with them, but it turns out that if I go with Vodafone and pay an extra £5 per month then I can make calls at home via my wifi connection, when I called tmobile and told them I was leaving because I wanted an iphone 3gs they said I could get one from them via a company called Chitter Chatter at a very good price, £178 for the phone, £30pm 18 month contract 300 mins and 300 texts with unlimited internet. I thought this was a good enough deal for me so I said yes, however when the phone arrived it was a black 3g not a white 3gs as requested, but it was I thought rather naughtily packaged in a open 3gs box! after phoning Chitter Chatter to ask them if they thought I'd come down in the last snow shower they apologised and sent me a pre paid return bag, and yesterday I posted it back, and now await hopefully the correct model and colour phone. In summary for me the deal is good but the hassle is not. If they don't get it right this time I will go to Vodafone and pay the extra £5 per month.
Hope this helps!0 -

AFAIK , no.
I went into an o2 shop and I was told no. I must say though that I have not phoned o2. In the o2 shop they checked my a/c and said I did not exist on o2 and therefore would be classed as a new customer, ie no deals.
I know what you mean though....and I am also wondering if I should just wait....if I have to pay full price then maybe just go onto simplicity and try to negotiate in a few months time if/when a new phone comes out to get either a cheap 3GS or get the new phone with a possible deal.....0 -
Forgot to add....with o2 as it stands now, you are not upgrading....you would be a new customer.....you would be upgrading if you went through CPW to buy....but would not be their customer anymore after that as you would be an o2 a/c holder. Technically I suppose you would still be a customer int hat you bought the phone from them....not sure how the upgrade would work in 18 months....I am sure CPW would contact you to make you an offer, and who knows, maybe they will have iphone accounts by then, in the same way that they have o2 accounts now.....0

Hmm I might follow suit with the simplicity then and wait for the next one to be released.. Tomorrow is my upgrade day and I'm not looking forward to the phone calls, going to do some more research and see how I get on tomorrow!
Thanks for clearing the O2/CPW fog for me!0 -
Hi
Has anyone managed to get any deals with Vodafone?
I’m due an upgrade this month and want an iphone, as a Vodafone customer of 9 years think they should be offering something better than the bog standard deal (free insurance/ cheaper handset/ etc) but they dont seem to want to budge, cancelled my contract and had there sales team on to me tying to tell me i wont beat there deal, think someone is telling pokey’s!!!
Thought about trying for the o2 business plan, I do use my phone for work, but only when my work mobile (which is ancient and on Orange) cant get a signal, can i sign up for a business deal or is this some kind of fraud?????
Defiantly going to look into these o2 refurb deals.
Just wondered what deals people had got from Vodafone (if any) or any suggestions for the best deal (i want a 16 GG 3GS)
Thanks Muchly
i'm the same with you, vodafone for ages, but relish the idea of forking out for the phone and locked into a long term contract at a higher rate. i don't mind paying for the phone if the rate was discounted.
well launch day 2mw, so will wait and see. 02 have offered free refurbs, discounted rates and even i read somewhere t-mobile offered discounted rate on iphone upgrade0 -

Don't forget ....just to be clear...that I am meaning to go on the simplicity deal with o2 directly, NOT thru CPW.....or you will still be an o2 CPW customer!0 -

You wont find it on the internet. You have to go instore to the Tesco mobile section to arrange it. A pain, I know for those who like to do things online...!:A Every moment is a gift. That's why we call it the present.!:A
