Advanced apologies if this has been mentioned before but I just got the monthly newsletter from Martin and it talks of £407 for the 12 month iPhone 3Gs 32Gb Pay as you go deal with Tesco. I just went on the Tesco site and the price is £538 and NOT £407! What am I not seeing??0

Tesco only see PAYG phones online. You need to go into a Tesco to get the contract iPhones.0 -

Anyone answer this
I'm currently with O2 but through the Carphone Warehouse
Have i any relationship with O2 if i was to phone them (like will they class me as an existing customer)
Would the credit check be straightforward as i already pay them each month?
Do CPW just act as collecting agents on their behalf?
At present you are a CPW customer as you are on the CPW's billing system. I believe that iPhone customers have to be on the O2's billing system (although this may have changed since the iPhone was made available to other networks). Call CPW and ask. I think you might be credit checked if you sign up via O2.0 -

As KG1984 says, the price on Tesco.com is for the PAYG phone. What Martin is referring to is the price of the iPhone 3GS 32GB model on a 12 month contract which works out at £407 for the phone plus £20 per month for 12 months.0 -
Am I totally stupid? I have rung my local Tesco and they say they dont stock iPhones and that I have to buy on line. Should I try another Tesco (admittedly it wasnt the actual store but the call centre taking calls on their behalf). I really want the phone mentioned on the email for £320 on Pay as you go, but on the website it is about £440!
Sorry if this is a silly question please dont be awful to me!
Thanks all0 -
Hi there, I really confused! Im an O2 customer through Carphone Warehouse. Im due my upgrade. Can I upgrade through O2 direct to try for a refurb deal? Or has anyone managed to get a refurb through CPW? Thanks0

Hi
Has anyone managed to get any deals with Vodafone?
I’m due an upgrade this month and want an iphone, as a Vodafone customer of 9 years think they should be offering something better than the bog standard deal (free insurance/ cheaper handset/ etc) but they dont seem to want to budge, cancelled my contract and had there sales team on to me tying to tell me i wont beat there deal, think someone is telling pokey’s!!!
Thought about trying for the o2 business plan, I do use my phone for work, but only when my work mobile (which is ancient and on Orange) cant get a signal, can i sign up for a business deal or is this some kind of fraud?????
Defiantly going to look into these o2 refurb deals.
Just wondered what deals people had got from Vodafone (if any) or any suggestions for the best deal (i want a 16 GG 3GS)
Thanks Muchly

Having done some heavy duty investigating (I'm a bit of a spreadsheet queen!) it seems that over 2 years, all contracts and payg combinations seem to work out roughly the same, factoring in the initial phone costs and monthly charges. The bonus of a contract is you don't have to count calls and worry about extra charges and mess about with unlocking phones etc, but you are also tied in for 18 months / 2 years. Is being outside of a contract really that much of an incentive? I'm not going to rush to get the latest new iphone if it comes out in the summer so what are the other downsides of a contract?
I've been on 18 month contracts for the past 2 phones I've had, so why am I so twitchy about signing up again with an iphone!?0 -

The £320 is not PAYG
but a 12 month £20 a month contract0 -
No one has made any comments about iPhone on T-Mobile . . . my T-Mobile contract is up for renewal and I want to upgrade to an iPhone. Where does T-Mobile fit in terms of costs, value, against other providers? thanks0
