I wrote them a letter and they rang me to tell me I could cancel. They said that they would get the cancellations dept to call me back, but when they called me back, I answered and they just stayed silent on the line for 30 seconds before hanging up. Not heard from them since!

So do you know if you are cancelled or not?

I really can't face speaking to them on the phone, I can't understand them at all and they don't listen.

I have a two-month old three Talk & Text 600 plan from onestopphoneshop (part of CPW) The shop has just told me, rather unpleasntly, that three can do what they want inside their price plan and it does not affect the deal I have with the `phone shop - in short, cashbacks are affected if any tarrif changes are made.
There seems to be a blurring of the meaning of the words "tariiff", "price plan" and "charges", but onestopphoneshop make it easy by always meaning the actual dosh paid for the month`s line rental.
So, I can`t accept three`s offer of a fiver a month less. I could after six months, but that will past three`s one month notice period.............

I hope not, I don't really want to cancel. As I said before, i'm on the £2.99 line rental and rarely go over that at all so i'm 3 months from a big fat cheque. I just want a line rental reduction like others have been offered.

    Even if I don't get one, I won't cancel!

ps - on a couple of other contracts, I've found that it is often standard for companies to ask for the remaining line rental in advance

That would be the equivalent of being on the contract for the 12 month duration, the thing you're no longer have an obligation for. If you think this is the case you need to at least quote the relavent terms and conditions.

I think you're getting confused here. The above is a cancellation charge to normally get out of the contract. The terms and conditions clearly state that no cancellation charge will be levied.
