I have been getting calls all of today from this number, Google search suggests it is connected to an Ebay seller. My advice is: if you don't know the number, don't answer it. If someone wants to talk to you they will leave a message on the voice mail.
There is also a website www.mpsonline.org.uk where you register your phone number to stop nuisance calls.
Sorry, but www.mpsonline.org.uk is actually the mail preference service and the one you want is http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/ for the telephone preference service.
I registered for both & noticed the difference within a month!;)TARGET Deposit for my 1st house!:A NEED£30k:eek: WANT£45k GOT 1stDRegSaver:£1200@ 6% GROSS 1/10/15||SantanderISA:£11,820.41 @ 2.30% 16/04/16| Newcastle BS ISA:£15,149.80 @ 3.02%|Santander123 Cashback earnings: £274.48|TotalCashSavings:£32,302|Last Update:22/2/15:T

Tried http://www.tpsonline.org.uk/tps/ today 6th August 2008 but comes up
Internet Explorer cannot display the webpage. Google lists www.CallPreventionRegistry.co.uk which seems to do same thing but costs £35:75 p.a!!.
Why on earth should we have to pay to stop firms we don't want to hear from calling us. It's particularly aggravating when it's mobile phone coys who don't even operate in the place where you live - presumably checking directories is too expensive for them.
Latest come from "Denise (who does not have english as her first language) of TFC acting on behalf of 25 leading UK banks" TFC is a loan consolidation outfit in Warrington.0 -

It's no one not noone, It's a lot not alot, It's got not gotten... Panini is the plural of panino - there is no S!!(OK my English isn't great, the sciences, maths & IT are my strong points!)0

Hi,Ive just received a call from an automated Rachel saying I had won a holiday in Cancoun. I certainly didn't enter a competition for this holiday. I don't know where Cancoun is and i'm not even sure I've spelt it correctly!!
It was an all inclusive package. The voice said to press 1 so I hung up. When I 1471'd I just got the phone number and not the automated voice again.0 -

If you had pressed 1, it would have put you through to an agent, you could then waste their time at their expense!It's PAC not PAC Code, it's MAC not MAC Code, it's PIN not PIN Number, it's ATM not ATM Machine, it's LCD not LCD Display, it's DVD not DVD disc...
