    GOT 'EM!!!

The Guild of Will Writers 01634 386678

I answered the phone after 1 ring and they were there at last.

"Can I speak to the home owner or resident please?"

    "Yes, that me"

"Hello Mrs M, I am calling from The Guild of Will Writers, have you written a will?"

"No, I haven't, have you heard of the Telephone Preference Service?"

    "Yes I have"

"Right then, your company have been ringing me and hanging up since September and I am absolutely livid. How a company can do that to someone and then expect them to deal with them as a business I just don't know"

    "I wasn't aware of that"

"Well you must have some kind of dialler and I shall be making a complaint, I am disgusted"

"You do that!" - not a very nice tone of voice  but then neither was mine :p

"I'd like you to remove me from your database"

    She hung up

Yes, I know it wasn't her fault and I generally take that into account but this one has really annoyed me.
Right......got some spare minutes on my phone........Im going to have some fun.

Hmmmmm - I suspect they dont take incoming calls on that number. Ho hum......if anyone else wants to fill in the contact form at http://www.theguildofwillwriters.com/ and leave a message to call Mr C Lyons at Regents Park on 020 7722 3333, or any of his many friends.....Ron Manager from West Bromwich, Huge Davies at the BBC etc

  • Just used moneysupermarket to check for home insurance and used my mobile as a contact number - then got this number coming through - so I would suggest, based upon what I read here, this is linked to them in some way

I have been receiving numerous calls from this company which just hang up, but today spoke to someone who was interested in reducing my monthly outgoings in regards to my mortgage. Asking to speak to a manager, I was immediately disconnected.

I'm registered with TPS and have registered a complaint with BT, with Cable and Wireless who own the number and with the TPS.

Just trying to find out who the hell the number belongs to as I would love to call them back but not on their 0844 number.

They're a total pain. I've had this number come up so many times on my missed calls screen, and when I do answer the phone they hang up straight away!

The exact same thing happened to me yesterday ...

    Same's happening to me too.

My wife's recently had a mini stroke, so if I can get the blighters to stay on the phone long enough, somebody's going to get an earful.

"The Information Centre", who offer to tell you about an amazing government initiative where you can reduce your debt payments to an amount you can afford. No sign of them in the internet.

  • I'm a keen user of this site but came to this thread having put this number into google. I now suspect it might be because earlier today I was on moneysupermarket.com getting insurance quotes. seem to recall the same thing happened before as well. I store such numbers in my phone as 'NO telesales' or similar to minimise future annoyance.

    Hope this helps.

Looks like that number may be an NTL (Virgin Media) line. www.ukphoneinfo.com/cgi-bin-Phones/nng?GNG=01212733761

Just took a call and am awaiting more based on posts here. Of course NTL/Virgin are not the most helpful at the best of times but "Dial 150 - free from your Virgin Phone, or 0845 454 1111, which costs the same as a local call" If they're hosting, even if it's a divert, they should do something.
