I have waited in all day today for my bed to arrive.
I ordered in on 29 July and when I had not heard anything by 2 September ( there was a 2-4 week delivery ) I emailed them.
They said the delivery was scheduled between 9 and 5 today, 8 Sept.
I emailed back asking if the driver would call me on the day to give me a better idea of what time they woudl arrive.
the email back (which started 'dear customer' even though I had put my name on all correspondence) said 'the delivey will be made between 9 and 5'
I have tried ringing them but the number on the invoice is not working (says out of service or something), the same for another number I found online. I got yet another number through Yell.com but nobody is picking up on that one.
Thankfully I paid on my credit card but I am still stuck without a bed - my mattress arrived (from M&S) 2 weeks ago!
I feel really stupid for ordering something from what is clearly a scamming company.
Does anyone have a phone number for their customer services?:mad::mad:
This is the same story for me. I ordered a bed frame on the 2nd August with a 3-4 week delivery time. I contacted them last week and was told it would be delivered today between 9 and 5. No bed frame. I'm going to have to contact the credit card company too.
Two of the numbers I called are out of service, and the third rings for a while and then says that the other party has hung up.0 -
It's pretty safe to say that it is the same company. For a start they're using the same 'shaking hands' logo on the site.

Plus, a WHOIS lookup of that domain returns the following information:

TODAY BUT THERE IS NO SUCH EMAIL ADDRESS OBVIOUSLY, IT FAILED TO RECEIVE MY MESSAGE...0 -
Around 10am this morning I once again visited the notorious furniture deal website only to find that the company had admitted it had gone into liquidation and was telling customers that everyone who had purchased from them would be getting contacted by the liquidators soon. It also advised all customers with outstanding orders to ask your bank for reimbursement.
As of 6:30pm this message has dissapeared to be replaced by the old message of:
this website is currently unavailable until further notice.
These people are crooks and jokers. Why give worried customers some much needed information and then take it away again? At least customers just discovering something is wrong would have been immediately in the picture if the liquidation notice had been kept on screen!!0 -
I've contacted my credit card issuer today and I'm going to be able to get my money returned to me - so glad I used the credit card. Still have had no answer to my emails from this place regarding my purchase.
In the meantime I've headed on over to the Co-Op bed shop for my kids beds, same one, little bit more expensive, but can deliver this week! And I've used them before so I'm confident I'm not going to get let down a second time!0 -
Here are the details that I have on them

just checked my emails this morning and there was one from furniture deal telling me the the company had closed down and that the liquidators will be getting in touch shortly and to notify my bank with about claiming a refund.
I won't be holding my breath waitng to hear anymore from them.
I have already been on to the bank, just waiting on a disclaimer form.
Has everyone else had the same email?0 -
Not had the email from the liquidators yet but have just phoned Barclaycard to claim a refund and the lady said that the company had gone down yesterday!!
So now waiting on disclaimer form to get my money back. Need to keep emails sent and received from Furnituredeal and also if you get one from liquidators.
So dont wait around get onto your banks/credit card company's now to get your money back!0 -
Yes I got the email this morning, spoke to my bank again yesterday the Co-op and they confirmed I will get my money back if I write to the disputes department as i paid by visa electron.0
-
Thats exactly what they told me as I am also with the Co-Op and also paid with Electron.
I am going to write the letter this evening as it was almost 10pm when I called them last night and I am at work now.
No email from them as yet.
We'll have to stay in touch via this board and see how we each progress.
That £420 was alot of money to me and something that I had saved for, so I would dearly love it back.
And I'd also like a bed too! My sofa is starting to bore me.0 -
this company is now in liquidation. i along with others have been left without goods that where paid for. two weeks ago they reduced all there prices by up to £50 to get more money in knowing that the company would fail, what a scam. fortunately i paid by credit card if you did the same contact trading standards who will advise you to pursue repayment of your money by the cc company, this falls under the "consumer credit act 1974 section 75" in which (and i quote) they are "jointly and several liable for breach of contract". hope this helps and good luck to us all.0
