You may be right, but you also may be wrong. Someone said that they had reduced all their prices, which could have been a desperate attempt to get extra sales and pay off their creditors. Many people hang on to the last second in the hope that they can survive, but then it is usually the bank who calls in the liquidators.

Sammyk2513, it makes you wonder how the guy you spoke to at the warehouse knew the contact details of the liquidators. When I rang Trading Standards today they told me to contact the Insolvency Services on 0845 602 9848 to get details of the liquidators so I could write to them. Insolvency Services told me they had no details as yet because it can take up to a week before they are informed. Seems to me the guy at the warehouse is probably involved with Furniture Deal alot more than he is making out.

Tim Deegan, Display Deal, which shared the same Co. Reg. No. and VAT No. as Furniture Deal, their phone just rings out or just says all operators are unavailable. Home Furnishing Ltd is also linked to Furniture Deal (checked it out on the WHO IS website) when I rang them they said they are now trading as HF Containers and they denied being linked to Furniture Deal and were only a supplier.

choirboy...Hi I think you might be right there, that one never occurred to me actually...thinking back on it now, he was really irritated that I had rang and at first he kept refusing to talk or answer any questions whatsoever, and then I got annoyed with him and raised my tone of voice and thats when he gave me the number for the liquidators,and as you have rightly pointed out, how does he know the contact details for the liquidators.They are all in on it i'm positive, first thing in the morning i'll be on to trading standards. I even wondered whether this liquidation thing is actually true or whether they are just feeding us another pack of lies so that they dnt have to send us our furniture.Nothing would shock me now. Tim Deegan....I never contacted their other company, i think someone on the previous page might have done...i'm really very upset about all the money i've lost whilst we have probably funded a top notch lifestyle for those crooks

Like many of you i paid by maestro direct debit and after trying every channel with the bank, it is looking unlikely i will get my money back from them.

That displaydeal website is exactly the same in every way. Like someone else said, the same logo and everything. I think this is the way this company operates.....they take lots of orders, bank loads of cash and start again under a different name. Surely someone has got to stop this!

As for the liquidators....i don't believe this much. They already seem to know that there will be no refund for customers. Seemed they worked on that quick to come to that conclusion already. And have they definitely gone into liquidation.....When i contact Company house, they state they are still registered as a limited company. Surely if the liquidators are supposed to be informing us, then they would have let them know as a prority!

I really don't think this is the first time they have done this.....they seem to have a proceedure that runs like clockwork. I think we all need to keep calling trading standards until we get a full investigation.

From what i have read, when a company has gone into Liquidation, everything is locked down while the Liqidators come in to do a stock take.
Nothing is removed, if there is enough assets the Creditors usually get first bite then so on down the line.

I dont think they have gone into liquidation!!!!!!!!!!!!! I think its a pure scam.

Hi Tim Deegan
It is very generous and noble of you to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I do believe that this bunch are out and out scammers. They took £420 off me on monday and ceased trading the following morning!!!!!
If they were honest, then why did they provide me with a fake address that does not exist at the time purchase?

Thats what i've been wondering...i'm sure they have pretended to be under liquidation just so they dont have to send us the furniture and in a few weeks they will be online again saying they are under new management and they will do the same trick again in a year or so....I 'm thinking we should try and take them to court or something, we should try anything and everything....I really hope they dont get away with this, fingers crossed
