  • Hi we too ordered from furniture deal last year and had problems then with getting our goods and had to claim a full refund. It is so upsetting to see so many people getting ripped off in the present economic climate. However we were told by friends of ours about a online furniture company called junction9furniture so we looked at their site, we saved over £70 on our original order the service was so good that we have now done our complete house with them and when compared to other companies out there we saved a fortune, the drivers were very helpful and the office staff kept us informed of our orders, so as this site is about saving money you should try junction9furniture.
Good luck to all of you in getting your money back.

Mohammed - yes I got my money back. After many online chats and getting nowhere with 'James' and Carol', and being told that I could go to their leicester store in person to get my refund. In the end I didn't have to go to the store but did phone them constantly every day at around 9.15am, as this seemed to be the only time I could get through on the store phone. I spoke to the manager and I got a full refund of £370 the following day. It did take a month or so get it.

I'm sorry to say Trading Standards were useless and I had to go it alone. Perhaps it might be worth everyone emailing the BBC Watchdog site and see what they can do.

Can i ask when you bought your items and when you were refunded, exact dates would be nice..

    Thanks
    Akib

Yes if you can report to HSBC for fraud, the more people reporting this the better response we should have. I have reported fraud to HSBC but they said I needed evidence which I have posted to them from FD supplier, who have no record of them ordering goods since my order was placed with FD.
Hope you go to his house and sort him out - because somebody certainly needs to, they shouldn't be allowed to get away with this kind of theft. He's a thieving b****rd.

I have also reported fraud to HSBC and sent evidence, but i cannot get nothing from supplier as i dont know who they are?.. will keep you informed.

somebody give me his address and i will go down!

I will let you know. At this stage I have provided all my evidence to the bank and they will apparently refund and then fight the case and get FD response, so nothing is definate yet, but I will certainly give it my all to try and get my hard earned cash back. I really hate these low life thieves who have stolen my money and everyone elses. Can you not find out who supplied your goods and then you will have proof from the supplier and then you can give the bank the evidence?

I have tried finding supplier but it seems impossible, if i could have that then maybe my case would be stronger, but eyah these low lifes have stole our hard earned money.
  • it was last august when we had our little bit of trouble with furnituredeal and got our refund oct08. looking at the amounts involved now it seems as if it was the start of somthing bad, like i said in our previous message junction9furniture really saved us money and they only use google checkout which meant we were totally covered.
  • I received a phone call from PKF the Liquidation Company telling me that they have been voted on as the Official Liquidators and that they would be in touch again as soon as they know what is happening.
  • RIPOFF VICTIM...The name Huroon cropped up when they sent us the letters too our addresses and on the bottom of the letter the name printed was Asif Alimohamed whereas it looked like the person that had signed it had signed A.Huroon
  • Apparently this is the home address, posted back on page 6. Retrieved from Company house:

ALIMOHAMED, MOHAMED HUSSAIN & ALIMOHAMED, ASIF
    81 GARTREE ROAD

  • Hi All,

Spoke to my bank yesterday to see how safe this refund of my payment was.
They said they had a lot of people being owed money by FD and althought they had contacted FD's bank they thought nothing would be comming back from them. So The re-creditting of this money back into my account by Lloyds bank looks safe.
Morris furniture came back to me with regard to whether FD had been told that no goods would be released to them untill FD's arrears had been cleared prior to them accepting my money for goods that they knew they could not get.
Their reply was a bit evasive in that they just said that my goods had not been delivered to FD. Which is realy not the question I asked and I wonder if they do not want to get into anything regarding fraud.
I hope the fraud squad are looking into this company andif they are I will make a point of being in court to see them go down.
