This is unbelievable. 18000 customers who won't receive their goods. Over what period must they have taken those 18000 orders. They must have known that there was no way ther could deliver the orders. So this must be theft.

It would be more understandable if there were only one to two hundred orders outstanding.

Sanewwbs - you will probably find that your recorded delivery letter will get returned, mine did. The reason they gave was that they don't allow/have incoming mail ??!!!

I just kept on the phone - never ever ever again.

Edit - something I just thought of. I asked if I could come down to the leicester address to get my refund form the store and they said that would be ok. I didn't have to in the end as I got it by speaking to the owner Mr Mohammed. But at least a store visit could be another option for some.

    Hi there,

are you saying you have been given a refund? how and when exactly, if you dont mind me asking?

Exactly........the 18000 orders must have gone back months if not years.

    ,

Just had email back from PKF, it looks like they will start the ball rolling (ie the 8 week winding down process) on September 24th. So IF that is correct then technically they didnt trade whislt becoming insolvent. However as Tim rightfully mentioned, there is a case here of taking money without a hope of being able to supply goods. That could be a case for many.
I'm praying for a refund via my Visa debit, but again even that isn't guaranteed.
  • Surely we must be able to do something, we have all been ripped off by these crooks and he's pretending he's the inocent one in all this by saying in Leicester newspaper that he's sorry - don't believe a word this lying scum is saying - its all for the papers.
  • Its a bloody lot of debt to accrue in two years isn't it? something like £900,000???? One of the comments under the article says something like "It can actually be quite profitable to go bankrupt", wonder what he means by that.
I did say in an earlier post that I thought I had been provided with a fake address, I must point out in fairness that it now transpires that I wasn't. ooops.
  • How does a company that has been trading for 2 years with no assets (as somebody mentioned earlier) manage to rack up a debt of £900,000 ?

I am not prepared to pay for the accounts which are available to the public but it would be interesting to see how much the directors have taken out of the company and where almost £1m has gone. I certainly think somebody needs to look into this from either the police or somebody who can prosecute as there was either a spectacularly bad management of the company or somebody has set up this business with the intention of failing and walking away with a lot of money.
