Has anyone had any success with cancelling their mix & match tariffs?
I renewed my contract in January (was previously a direct text 1400) and have just come across this recently. My bill this month has amounted to quite a large sum (£130) most of which are calls that have been rounded to 1min.
I'm about to fire an email off to the three executive address but do not recollect receiving the letter about the new terms nor did I receive the terms & conditions with the phone when the contract was renewed.
Any advice guys?
Cheers0 -

Mix and match has always been per minute billing, so there were no new terms as such. However you should have been informed of this somehow at the time of upgrade, but having said that you have had 8 months in which to notice that it's per minute, so I don't think you've much luck tbh, although there has been foul play on the part of 3. Worth a try though, try otelo.0 -

to add to what rev_henry said the letter was also dated 5th august an you only have 30 days from the date of that letter to cancell sorry it now past that0 -
Many thanks for all the advice offered by various members on this thread. Spoke to exec office today and I've managed to cancel without fee.
They initially came up with all the normal "you should have looked at the website" for the changes in terms and conditions, and I thought I'd lost. After sending both an e-mail and letter on separate occasions they seemed to have changed their minds.
New contract saving at least £15 a month, decent signal at home - here I come.

what tariff were you on?0 -
probably one taken out before october 20070

I'm on a video talk and text tariff
The contract was taken out before October 2007 so I thought I was home and dry.
Unfortunately I had extended the contract in January of this year (without an actual upgrade) so they claimed I had agreed to the amended T&C. I argued that they didn't send me a new phone or inform me of the changes. That's when we got into the "should have looked at the website" argument.
PAC code received yesterday (I did have to spend 20 minutes on the phone convincing the persuasive lady that I was absolutely sure I didn't want to stay with 3).
New phone is arriving tomorrow
