are we losing gumption, this thread seems to have lost its way doen the pages0

3 are refusing to answer my emails, and now I know the only thing I can do is contact otelo, but I have to wait 12 weeks, as 3 won't send a deadlock letter.
If they are doing this to everyone that is probably why the thread is slipping.0 -
I will be general so I cannot be identified by 3...
I had a call back from the 3 executive office a couple of days ago.
Told their legal dept. claim they are rock solid on the T&C's.
They then offered me a bribe if I didn't complaint to OTELO, or I could have a deadlock letter.
They would not discuss T&Cs.
I have taken the deadlock letter, and opened a case with OTELO.\\
A bribe says it all...
We are totally right and legally solid on this, but here have some money and don't take this to the regulator, mmmm...0 -

Odd, write to K Russell in executive office, you'll get a call back offering a bribe or deadlock letter.0 -
I wrote to Kevin Russell and got a call back from the executive office saying basically i didn't have a leg to stand on.
Have they gotten wind of OTELO's stance that there is actually a case to answer I wonder ?
Could this be why they're now sending deadlock letters ?
Is it worth me writing back ?0 -

Look at the Price Guide applicable to when you renewed and tell me where it refers you to footnote 15, the one that states the change is coming...
I found 4 references in the Dec07 Price Guide:
P12 – Business – Pay As You Go Flat 12 – 2 references
P22 – International Charges – 1 reference
P23 – 3 Like Home – 1 reference
Only the international charges section is applicable for me to be reading, as I am not on Flat 12 and I'm not visiting countries with a 3 network (3 Like Home).
I would say the reference in the summary paragraph on P22 in relation to international calls could hardly be said to be fairly disclosed, at the end of the day the reference should be on the pay montly section, as it is in the current guide.
Also they still NEVER notified us before this change took place last year, so even if you take out a new contract on upgrade, it is the same one as you had before - and if it had changed you should have been notified.
If they are so sure why are they offering bribes not to go to OTELO?0 -

Well as i've said, I was on VTT 700 and when I upgraded I was told this had been discontinued, and that the only available option to upgrade to was Mix and Match, which was per-minute billing anyway.
So this is where I don't think I have a case in that sense. I wrote a letter to 3 stating that I believed that they failed to adequately inform us of the company-wide decision to roll out per-minute billing on all current and future priceplans, which gave them an unfair advantage because it failed to allow the customers the chance to make an informed choice about whether or not they wanted to stay with 3 or let their contract run down.
I never sent it because I ultimately didn't think it was worth it.0 -
I wrote to K Russell both by email and letter delivered personally by my husband to the office in Glasgow (for which he has signature for receipt). Also tried phoning and had a very rude man insist I had to go thro customer services and why and how did I get that address and number etc etc. Heard nothing for two days so phoned customer services AGAIN and kept insisting I wanted to cancel and convert to PAYG after the 30 days notice. Finally achieved that after usual rubbish from their end.
Hope to get a call from retentions before 30 days up but if not will take out new contract (don't actually want to leave three but out of principle of the per minute change acted) with the phone I want and more than generous call / text offer which will work out with quidco about £1.50 per month more than I am paying now. Yes not ideal but upgrade deals rubbish and same as on web so no option. Only other good reception is from O2 and their deals don't come close for phone and text / calls allocation.
Fingers tied!
No sign of K Russell or anyone else from eIf only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:0 -
Btw everyone, please don't mention anything about deadlock reference numbers to three. They do not exist, what you want is a deadlock letter. The exec office basically said that they are something made up by people on this forum, so it would be in our best interests not to mention a reference number.
Deallock Reference do exist. You can check it on the OTELO website when you make a complaint. Otherwise 3's letter in which they mention that they will not provide any deadlock reference number will be considered as a deadlock letter.0 -
I'm on phone to 3 as I have been charged a cancellation fee, he is telling me cancellation was free but the £76 charge was for my pac code, huh?Too many children, too little time!!!0
