    Complaint logged with OTELO, who hope to reach a 'provisional conclusion' within 6 to 8 weeks! The crux of my complaint rests upon the fact that 3 has failed to adequately provide me with information regarding the terms and conditions, rather than simply that they have introduced 1st minute billing. I think. I'm trying to be careful what I say as I'm sure the exec office know exactly who I am, or could do with very little guesswork...

    Just had a call from otelo saying i actually have a case here, after being told the other day i did not.
    The very helpful lady issued a complaint number and told me to contact 3 with this and request a deadlock letter or release from contract.

    If this does not happen they will then procede to get me out in the next 2 months or after the initial 12 weeks....

    fingers crossed!
  • can you summarise your case you made to otelo jamiesd?

    i'd be interested since they've told you that you do have a case.

    and don't forget what contract you had and when it was taken out :)

    That's very similar to what happened to me. The guy I spoke to first said there was no case as it was a commercial decision, but that there was a case as they did not adequately inform me of the changes. Only I have a deadlock letter so OTELO are processing it right away.
    Btw, to get a deadlock letter I simply asked the woman at the exec office to put what she said to me in writing, when I spoke to her. Which she did very promptly.

    I just filled the form out online and mentioned the payment and bill changes and that i thought the were concerning me, told about the letter on the 5th and just said they refuse to give me a deadlock letter.

    They still refuse......that means it will now take 12 weeks for me to get out of this contract.
    3 have been shocking and not listened to me at all.

    At the end of the day these changes are changes that affect me and if they did not no letter would be sent. Whether in a contract or not these are changes now not happening when you take your contract out.......

    I was just going to forget about it but thankfully i now don't have to

    I am on the 15 quid texter and before that i was on the direct text 1400.

    It's interesting that the footnotes are on page 34/35 of the cuurent "The Real Deal" as the copy they sent me is also the same page numbers,but they do seem to vary from month to month.
    I have been told I have a copy of Nov 07 "The Real Deal" with the footnotes on p34/35,does anyone have a "genuine" copy from Nov 07,I'd be very interested to see if they have the same page numbers!?
  • Hi i wrote to 3 last week and had a call from them after 3 week.The lady tried to keep me on 3 but i kept going on about leaving.SO she finally gave me a PAC code and gave me the dates where its gonna expire. she also told me i wont be charge for any early cancellation.


    but after 2 days another lady from 3 called and started offering me different different deals.After a certain offer i almost agreed but when i asked is it starting from this month, then she said nope ,its gonna be after my real contract. or there is gonna be a early cancellation fee of 200+ amount

    now i am confused. i guess the best thing to do is cancell the direct debit first and then wait.

    anyone got any ideas !

  • make sure its not T3 mobile or whatever they are called, they've been stalking me lately as i should have been due an upgrade around now.

    They will tell you they are calling on behalf of three but if pushed they will acknowledge that they are a separate company.
