I told a female friend about this yesterday, she sent the email, i told her what to ask for etc when they called her back, like the N95 and 750 mins unlimited texts for £20-£25.
The exec office called today, they said sorry to hear you want to leave, can we offer you this 500 mins 3000 texts for £20, she thought it sounded good so she agreed.
She was on the £20 texter before, theres no new phone and she doesnt even know how long the new contract is for, lol, ive told her, im gonna kill her !0 -
Many thanks Murrz. Have had a quick read, so this Nov 07 doc states that -
Price Guide: the document that sets
out the Price Plans, our current
Charges and related details
(including, if you are a Customer, any
Minimum Term and payment
commitments). This document can be
viewed at three.co.uk.Price Plan: our current price plans set
out in the Price Guide as well as any
other price plans we may introduce in
the future. There may be more than
one price plan offered to you and if
so, you will be required to select one
before you are Connected to 3.
The price plans may be amended or
withdrawn from time to time, and can
be viewed at three.co.uk or requested
from 3 Customer Services. If you are
a Pay As You Go Customer, prices
may vary depending on the value
of the Pay As You Go Voucher or
Add-on purchased.
So, they wont send send an altered price plan out to you but make it available on the web. Surely this is extremely poor if not dodgy practice?? Also, no note of the suuposed changes made in Oct 07.
More ammo for my letter then!0 -
Just to add, from the T&Cs section 4.1b -
(c) if you carry on using 3 Services after the
variation commences, you will be deemed to
have accepted the variation.
Note the word 'commences', so even if this alteration to the price plan was sneaked into the price guide (online only) we only accept it after it commences, which it doesnt do until next month. Am I correct in this logic or just clutching at straws??0 -

Because these are supposed to be in this Price Guide not the T&C's0 -
so realistically, it should be something like ..
"(c) if you carry on using 3 services after the variation commences, you will be deemed to have accepted the variation. We won't tell you that we've implemented this variation, it's up to you to find out. We'll just assume you've accepted it"0 -

Also note the quote about price guide is from the glossary, and T&C refers to Price Plan. Now you only use a glossary if you don't understand something, definitions of things in a contract should be listed before the contract text - as they normally are, to ensure no confusion.
And anyway the T&C's don't say there is a change to the Price Guide (although glossary links to Price Plan), so it brings me back to my psychic comment - why would I be looking on their website or requesting it, if I have not been told there are any changes!0 -

except the variation still doesnt commence until 23rd Sep! The only thing that has changed is a notice informing us of it.........
/my head hurts now from all this0 -
they just keep moving the goalposts in desperation!still find it incredible that some people are being called same/next day after emailing to be let out of contract and/or offered better deal and apologies!?
Where am I going wrong?!!0 -

so the variation doesn't commence to the 23rd of September, but they're claiming that October last year was the cut off point for accepting it.
Just wondering as well - if anyone still has a copy of their letter and a scanner, would you be willing to scan in a copy ?0 -

Its all down to when you renewed/took out your contract it seems. If you renewed or took it out after Oct 07 then they are fighting this tooth and nail.0
