Upgraded June 08 still on original contract 750 mins 150 texts, have i had it.

They won't do this under any circs.
The best you could hope for along these lines is to get them to agree to cancel your contract (with 30 days notice), and then during the notice period ask to be put on payg when your notice is completed.0 -

Thats what ive done, and extra 200 mins as the free bolt on, was sorely tempted to go with 3 again for the 750 mins, unlimited texts and a N95 for £25 a month though.0 -

I actually received my T-Mobile sim this morning - 500 minutes, unlimited texts, 30 day rolling contract - £20.0 -

That's what I intend to do. Was looking at the Simplicity package online before giving Three a call. Turns out that Quentin was right - they don't do one-month contracts. So there we are.
I'll be having the unlimited web bolt-on though, methinks.0 -

scratch that .. i just had a call from orange saying i actually passed the credit check and it was just that the handset i asked for isn't in stock0 -

Im no expert mate but cancelling your direct debit would get you into all sorts of legal stuff with 3.0
