  • Just cancelled my £15 texter and £5 internet addon taken out in sept 07. I was on yesterday and someone was supposed to phone me back with an offer to try and keep but they never bother so i phoned up today and got the cancellation in place so hopefully a decent offer will come soon as i want to stay and get an N95 8GB. The guy today said i cant cancel and get a PAC, claimed that if i took the PAC that would initialise the cancellation when the number is transfered, Wasnt taking any chance though so i said stuff the number just give me my 30 days cancellation.

If i dont get a decent offer ill just go back to them anyway as my wife is with them and we can get £45 credit each for recommend a friend and £60 for going through quidco.
  • From what I understand you can only cancel if you were on the Direct Text/Talk plan (not M&M cos it was already embedded into the contract)

Though people have varying results. The above is a rule of thumb

If you are not affected on m&m, why send the individualised letter? On m&m 300 and letter ments dd charge and itemised billing. If they were already covered by the t&cs, why go to the expens of sending you a letter (not even sent wth the bill to save money/sneak it through) ...?
From their perspective, the more people that they can fob off, or delay cancelling, the more revenue they retain (e.g. letter arrived 10 days after 5th August date=3rd of a month extra line rental etc and 10 days of your notice period gone before you even knew of the changes!)Anon
  • I have sent a recorded delivery letter to the Glasgow address to cancel but should I phone as well or will that confuse matters?
  • Rang a third time to try my luck, and lo and behold. Cancellation agreed and pac code has been received! Excellent! Don't take no for an answer!

they are telling me that as my contract was upgraded after oct 07 i agreed to the terms and conditions that state the intention to implement per minute round up and therefore cant cancel as its always been there,

    any ideas anyone ??

Follow the ts + cs and write in with your notice. They are doing everything they can to knock callers back!

I got that this afternoon, and she even quoted me the section, which is actually completely irrelevant. Gave up, and am hoping the letter route works.

emailed for my hubby today and he has had a call to say that they will cancel his contract. They are meant to be ringing back again today to see if there is something that they can offer instead, he really wants a n95, lets see what they offer and how much........otherwise it will be bye bye 3
