    This may all be tactics.

You only have a month from them informing you of the increase if you want to cancel wiyhout paying a termination fee.

They have managed to put you off cancelling for a few days already!

    Thats my thought. :)

I actually said that to the woman, that I wasn't told that the first time I called and that I know I only have 30 days to cancel without paying a penalty. I might give them a call back again later and check again. My letter is dated 5th August but I didn't receive it until Friday just gone which was the 15th, so is that 10 days of my 30 gone before I've even received the letter?
  • Well 3 exec office have just called me, i complained to them via email about the upto the minute charges.

The guy was great, no hassles, he even mentioned £15 to unlcok my N95 mobile, i asked him if he could do it now and add it to my bill, he said that was fine, there ringing me back within the day with the unlock code.

He didnt try to get me to stay , brilliant chap.

I just hope I get a similar reply, I would be happy to stay but they would have to offer me a new phone and a good tariff to stay and I really dont see them doing it. Shame cos they have been ok up until now.

I may well try to point out that I could be persuaded to stay and see if that works, a few people have said that they have had offers but they havent really been any good. i was expecting my reply today as I contacted them Thursday but I suppose they are really busy.
  • Recieved the letter today - have we established the most successful way to get a cancellation? Phone, letter or exec email? And which script to use?

    Thanks!

I had my email today to advise 5 days response after I resent it to the first address from Kidcat who of course sent it to where I had emailed previously. I too would be happy if they made me a deal as I was due to upgrade in October.

  • still no letter :( although i've rung up once and tried to get out of my contract already on the basis of these itemised billing charges but that didn't happen despite speaking to lots of managers and such like. does anyone know if there are particular customers affected by the one minute billing thing? or is it across the board bish bash bosh?
