    three sent me back an automated crappy email and said this should answer my questions.....so i replied stating it didn't and i wanted my contract cancelled, lets see what they say...

    I'm having problems cancelling cause of these changes like others on the forum. First time I called I was told I could leave penalty free if I found another company offering per-second billing! Guy got nasty with me and said I should do my research. I got additional info from this forum and emailed, then called two days later as Id not heard any more...


    Once my details had been found on the system the operator said they could not hear my voice and they hung up. I'm getting the feeling they know the score and are just trying delaying tactics to stop the imminent exodus.

    ...and after 20 mins on hold just now the systems are being upgraded and my details cannot be found. This is getting beyond a joke.

    i had the same feeling ....

    they do not want to help, i had people tell me different things and also close the phone on my face ....

    Also promised call backs which i never recieved!
  • obviously three are not going to budge easily on this. i've still had no letter :( but i may ring up later and try to cancel, on the pretence i've received the letter...
  • Can you actually cancel the contract on the Itemised Billing change? They are claming till they are blue in the face that it is not a viable method. Thanks

    I was sent a letter from 3 this morning stating they are changing they way they charge me, basically rounding all calls under a minute, to a minute.

    Now article 10.1 (d), states -
    Within one month of a detrimental variation to your agreement. You can end the agreement within one month of us telling you about a variation to your agreement (which includes your Price Plan) which is likely to be of detriment to you. You must give written notice to 3 Customer Services within that month and your agreement will finish at the end of that month once we receive your notice. (A Cancellation Fee will not be charged.)

    Im on the phone to 3 now (India), spent ages getting her to understand me, but eventually told her to read the T&C's, which she eventually agreed I could cancel no charge, she put me through to cancellations, and now I'm free from 8 months into a 18 monther, back of the net!!

    Oh, I also got the pac code of them aswell!, they did try and offer my some free mins and text, for more money which I told them to go swivel.
  • just got off the phone to three now, and they're refusing to budge. i've spoken to a lady in cancellations, her manager and then his manager...they're claiming it's not a part of the terms and conditions because it's not part of the agreement - and this charge does not have any terms and conditions! i'm disputing it because it's a detrimental charge.
    the wouldn't budge at all - only offered me a "£5 goodwill gesture"
    so that's that one out of the window now. oh well.
  • Has anyone else had a letter from them??? Could do with being able to cancel my contract...Hope there is a letter behind my door tonight :D

    Hi Meliat, when did you receive that letter? I am with 3 too and have had numerous problems with my handset and had to send it back 3 times and speak to their poor customer services in India.

    I'd love to be able to tell them where to go. Did you get to keep the handset too? Assuming you had one with your contract.
