Hope I get this letter as I'd love to cancel. Got talked into staying with them for £15 pm 300 mix and match, Nokia N73 and about £20 bill credit.
But it's an 18-month deall and I think I can do better.
Did the OP have to put this in writing or did a phone call suffice?0 -
Hi Meliat, when did you receive that letter? I am with 3 too and have had numerous problems with my handset and had to send it back 3 times and speak to their poor customer services in India.
I'd love to be able to tell them where to go. Did you get to keep the handset too? Assuming you had one with your contract.
Hi, it was this am, dated the 6/8.0 -

Is the charge for the first minute for every customer0

Your 3 handset is locked to 3, so you would need to pay to get it unlocked. Your local market type stall is the best bet for this. However - be wared - unlike other networks 3 have a nasty habit of being able to relock a handset. I havnt heard of it happening for a while now so it maybe they have stopped, but it used to be a right pain in the royal bum!
Orange customers had a similar opt out months back when Orange finally started charging for 0800 numbers, text delivery reports and itemised billing0 -
Hi
I have had a letter from Three today informing me of the itemised billing charge etc, and also the per minute billing. This will take effect on 23rd Sept apparently. I do need the itemised billing as reference to amount of time spent on phone in relation to voluntary work I do, so this would be a problem, and the per minute thing annoys me on principle. But is this grounds to cancel? I do not use all my minutes at the moment, so can they argue that its not detrimental? Should I phone them and see if they offer any incentive to stay (my contract expires in Dec) or just write and cancel and request a PAC?
See my earlier posts, I never used all of my minutes either but still cancelled due to the per minute billing. You have to write in to cancel as per the T&C's.0 -

I think I will call them and if I dont get anywhere (ie offered a new phone and deal) then I will copy the letter posted earlier and request my PAC, to be honest I havent had any probs with three and would be happy to stay with thme but I object to them being allowed to change the terms mid contract, surely they would do better applying new terms to new customers and at upgrade rather than mid term. Thanks for your help.0 -
First Post!
I take it you have to send the phone back when you cancell?
I've not had a broblem with them or the phone but its the N95 Black so costs about £40 for the basic Mix and Match so if i could keep the phone it would save a fair bit.0
