If you've got My3 set up, send an email through there and also send a letter to the Glasgow office, I sent mine recorded so they couldn't say it never arrived. They will call you to discuss it, just say you've got advice, are not happy and know you're within your rights to cancel and they should agree to it. I was on the phone for about 5 minutes all in.0

Did they make any offers if you stayed?0 -

No, although they may have done had I not been so adamant that I wanted to cancel. They asked me if I had any other problems with 3, but I don't so I told them so, however I told them I was soon to be getting a company phone so was not going to need the 3 contract anymore anyway.0 -
No I think you can keep the phone as you are cancelling the contract due to THEM making a change in the T&Cs which causes detriment to you.0

If I were to get this contract cancelled could I be issued with a PAC code which will allow me to keep my number, and then start up another Three contract to get a new phone? Because the contract I'm on now, I don't use hardly any of the minutes I pay for, and the phone is crap (LG Viewty)
Cheers

Thanks for this info. I have just typed a letter and I am going to post it recorded delivery tomorrow. I will let you know how I get on. I remember when Orange changed their T&C's and a load of people on hotukdeals said they got their contract cancelled.0

Received my letter stating itenised billing charge and per minute billing, starting 20th Oct. Still to decide what to do as contract ending Nov.
I'm on Direct Texter 1000 (think that is it - was Student Promotion when taking it out) 1000texts and 100mins £20/mth.If only I could stop finding good bargains on this site, I would save a fortune! :rotfl:0 -
Success!
Finally got PAC number 6 months before contract was supposed to end. Got a much more helpful person on the phone who asked how the changes would be of detriment to me. Explained that I required itemised bills and I didn't want to be penalised for making short calls. Offered £17.50 one off payment but said I still wanted to leave.0 -

£17.50? How insulting is that? You are surely worth more to them over the six months. Its madness! Arethey so flush with new customers that they can ditch all their old ones?0 -
That's what I thought. I explained that the payment would be one-off but their changes would be on-going and would be offering a worse deal then when I started the contract.0
