I know they treat everyone differently but ringing up the other day with a £30pm ave spend for the last 12 months i got offered nada by OCR, classed as 'band 2' in their 10 point scale of customer worth. But you can only ask....me I'm off to Virgin PAYG, somewhere in the ether at this very moment, then onto who knows where, but very possibly Orange!0

Is Band 1 the best or worst?
I spend £30pm contract, and I have Orange care, the bill normally comes out as £40-50pm.
I'll be calling up later to try and get them to match 3's Online 1400 package which has 300 x-net mins and 1000 texts for just £30 a month! If not, then it's a PAC code for me!0 -
hi, im on talk time 200 and also have Orange care,
i currently receive half my line rental back (£15) by redmption through one stop phone shop,
i have just under 2 months left on my contract,my monthly bill is between £40-£50 and was wondering how i would be scored/rated by Orange?
Also around upgrade time, i would be looking for a similar deal on the monthy tariff, with either sony k750i or samsung d600?
whats my chances ???
thanks...0 -

Hi. I currently have an Orange contract but intend to change it to Orange PAYG when it expires next month. However, I already have an Orange PAYG mobile - it still has the Orange Out Here offer where I still get 5 free texts a day (though that this was a good offer so kept the phone when I got a contract).
However, when I change my contract phone to PAYG will it be possible to transfer the Orange Out Here to the new PAYG so that I can cancel the old number?0 -

you will have to port out your contract number then back in to orange, no way will they let you take it to a discontinued payg tariff or vice versaIf I helped or saved you money - Thank me
If I helped you spend some money - spank me
If I done both - :lipsrseal me:eek:0 -
Sorry not been on for a while
BUYITASITSGOOD: Orange dont do any sim onloine deal but to be honest, I think they must be thinking about it, as O2 and Vodafone do to great success. The thing is bringing out a SIM only tarriff, will make customers not upgrade through Orange where you get 10% line rental discount if you take a 12month contract and no handset, so they will be shooting themselves in the foot.
seaniboy: The only tariff that you can have now is the Same Rates 24/7; which means of you havent changed onto it from Talk And Save, Fixed Rates, Choose Off Peak you can keep it, you cnat however change onto it and back from it to one of the three above.
I dont believe you'll be able to change your off peak time slot unfortunately, but give it a bash, hope you can.0 -
Iona_Penny: I belive that the tariff that you are on, is a 'Square Deal' one, where you get a good deal for 12months, changing from it I believe is impossible.
The only positive you have is changing tariff, you'll be paying more a month.
£52 is terrible, there are a few tariffs he can go to, 200mins + 500texts would be £30; save you money and cover the calls.
Ring 150 and query them, but Im not sure.
Karnam: Loyalty is something Orange look favoutable on and in your situation, you arent asking for alot, 200mins, 200texts for £25 Im pretty sure you could be offered that, as moving direct to a student package at £30 for 200mins and 1000texts; so you should be able to get a good deal.
You always pay a line rental in adance so you shoudl phone after 11th month bill and request PAC/rententions...
Good Luck, post back on any deal they do give you and I'll say if I think they can wangle more, cheaper, discount etc0 -
Adamant: Band 1 is the worst; at £30pm with Insurance and still going over it, you should be Band 4, maybe creeping into Band 5, so you'll get great selection of handsets.
Id try to get that deal as sounds cracking, didnt know 3 did that tariff.
smogg-boro: Band 4 would get you either of them free (Im making an assumption on the D600) as we have nothing in store yet, but I would think it would be free on band 4.
geraint83: You wont be able to take that PAYG orange out here package and put it onto your Contract-come-PAYG card. Unfortunately, do it the other way around.0 -
Well I called yesterday saying that as a new student account I could open an account for Student 120 and get 1000 texts, 120 mins and half price line rental for 6 months. The guy on the phone said that he could give me all that on my current account without having to cancel it.
He couldn't change the half price line rental so he put a £75 credit on my account with the 1000 texts/month for 4 years, 120 mins xnet anytime, 50% calls to lane lines and a brand new Motorola black v3 at a price of £25/month. Unfortunately I didn't mention that on the student account you also get £50 credit, which I'd have liked too, so I didn't get that... but beggers can't be choosers! I thought I didn't do too badly out of my conversation really... what do you think eco?
Also my sister is on Orange Off peak, is this tariff still around as it's no longer on the website? She loves her tariff but had hoped to get some text messages added to it as she pays £30 for her tariff and her contract finishes in December. Would it be possible to ask for the student text bundle even though it says that only certain talk plans could get student status? What do you think of her chances? What should she say?:A Boots Tart :A0
