  • nads/iceburn - thank for you responses.
I called Orange to do this and they told me this is not recommended - when I asked why the best they could come up with was that the offer I was after may not be available in 30 days - they didn't seem interested in keeping my business (shame as I had been with them over 10 years) so I will find another provider which offers the same phone free - W800i - with a similar price contract ~ £19pm. The only one I have seen is o2 Online - Free W800i and £20pm. Are there any other good offers on the w800i that anyone has seen.
    Thanks
    Steve

  • This question may have been asked before but I'm feeling a bit to rough this morning to wade through all the posts so apologies in advance if it's already been answered!
My husband has a contract phone on the high speed data tariff at £10 per month. As fair as I'm aware there's no texts or calls included in this £10 but at the time it was the cheapest way of getting the phone he wanted. It's coming up for renewal anytime now. When he phones up about an upgrade are there any better tariff deals he could ask about? He doesn't use his phone a lot and it'd be mainly off peak.

Because minutes are not rolled over on T-Mobile Relax contracts themselves. Orange OVP matches that by definition. That's why I don't like T-Mobile or OVP T-Mobile.

    Hi,

I have worked for Orange Retail for nearly a year now, selling Phones, Contracts, Upgrades as a Phone Trainer, so I can answer almost anything to do with Orange Services.

I also know a little in advance what deals are coming out the next month, so I should be able to post up, what the promotions are, so you maybe better to hold off til next months promotions rather than take a contract/upgrade at this months promotions.

So any questions, please ask away.. or PM me if you wish

    Thanks

Hi, hope you can help me eco 21.

Having trouble with orange at moment. Basically i can't receive texts - my phone's telling me that i need to delete messages from any folder. Sadly, all my folders are already empty. I've taken it into store and the guy there agreed that its a faulty handset but Orange customer services are being...well....arsey? with me. It's been going on for 3 weeks now but i keep getting told i have to wait 3 days for an engineer to look at my case. No-one's calling me back and I'm getting really p****d off.

Is there any way around these delays do you know? can i contact technical team direct and bypass call centre?

Any help you could throw my way would be much appreciated!!!

    Thanks,
    joo

We have been with Orange for years due to their good deals etc but we have had the worst experience with them.

We bought our son a phone and it never worked. We took it to the shop who supplied a reconditioned one after trying to repair the first one. That didn't work. We have been backwards and forwards to the Orange shop and they have used their 'policy' number - ie. we take your money and don't care, not ringing back when they say etc.

We rang Orange themselves and they state they are not part of the Orange Retail group - again with their 'policy' hat on.

We rang Nokia and they have been much more helpful, but I am afraid my opinion of Orange has plummetted due to their customer non-care :@

We are still stuck with a faulty phone

  • Bought an Orange PAYG to use as backup. Registered on Thursday and it still hasn't had the network bar removed. Been doing the switch on switch off thing to try and force it through. Rang Orange today on 0800 079 0006 and I get asked to do the switch off, remove battery for 10 seconds put battery back in and switch back on again. Still nothing. Battery is now just about out of juice so the chances are that even if the texts do come through it'll switch off halfway through. Going to recharge it tonight (cheap rate electricity money saver!) but any ideas for how to resolve this tomorrow would be welcome.
    Thank you

eta All sorted now thanks to a very helpful guy on the phone who didn't sound at all surprised at the problems I'd been having.

Hi all, i am with orange on talk share 200, bill was averaging on £50/month, The last 5 months my bill has been between £130 and £200 using approx 800mins, is there any plan i can be on with talk share(2 phones) that would offer more minutes anytime? I have looked at orange tarrifs but it seems that only talk 120/200 and 300 can have talkshare.

also, my upgrade last year was due beggining of april but i didn't do it till may, is there anyway they would upgrade us early without the one off £50 charge, any help on this would be great, been with orange for 4/5 yrs now and starting to get fed up with expense but really dont want to leave...
