    Hi

the latest phone the lad wants is the Samsung V500.

This phone is cheaper on contractso is there a way I can get him this phone on contract without the worry of him of him running up a large bill? he is however only 16 but this is the cheapest option as a pay as you go version is £239 (why do youngsters think expensive phones are the best  )

anyway if not, is this phone likely to come down in price or will the local orange shops be able to give a good part exchange price or is the recommend a friend to orange still available?

Many thanks, but i really cant afford £239 AND the inevitable top ups. LOL
    :j

Same question as above as my contract ahs jsut run out and want to see how much for the c600 upgrade.

I know it is available with 6/7 months free line rental through OSPS with bluetooth headset.
  • Hi, I just want to first say thanks for all the work you are doing for everyone!

Down to business. I have spent the last 12 months on Select 500 (500 xnetwork mins) for £25/month.

The tariff had worked well for me so just want to keep on the same really but upgrade to a Motorola V3.

First, I spoke to upgrades to esablish the date my contract expires (which incidently is today) and she offered me the same tariff and V3 for £99.99!

Then, I called Op 4, Op 3 (retentions) and followed the script about how great CS are and how the coverage is good etc and she offered me the same deal!!! (£99.99)

This is bearing in mind that last year they matched 3's tariff and gave me a Nokia 6230 (a phone of similar value to the V3).

Obviosly they are tryin to get me off this tariff but is what Im asking for too unreasonable??? Afterall, it worked last year!

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks again.

I was told by OSPS that if I port my Orange number to some other network I cannot port it back to Orange for 6 months.

Could anybody confirm or refute this information?

it could well be true if they have changed it since my son done it, he went to o2payg from orange contract approx march april this year (when contract finished) he then wasnt to keen on o2 so went back to orange (onto payg) all within a month he had no problem doing it
  • They obviously don't know what they are on about.

Of course you can transfer your number to another network and back again.

I was advertised to do that by an orange shop assistant to get a new phone with a better deal.

The only issue orange have is with payg to contract:
Pay as you go customers with less than three months pay as you go subscription history will not be able to transfer their pay as you go number to a pay monthly account.
