approx £19 for :
bb
tv basic
phone which includes free anytime local calls
this is a bargain and i've put several friends onto it at the time.
heres the rub....
get a phone call offering free upgrade to max tv package for one month - simply cancel at end of month at no cost. ideal loadsa free tv.
at the end of the month the call turned into SORRY but the sales agent changed your package to £31 and theres no way they can change it back because the original discount isnt on their system anymore.
can they do this and what sort of contractual obligation do they have to not change my price without my permission???????????
i simply want my old price back!
It is very important when making any changes even free offers to make sure that the discounts stay, always ask what the billing will look like before commiting.
Have you tried retensions(150->2->2) and talk to them about what happened, they might be able to fix things.0 -
We have been customers for nearly 3 years i think, and ever since out 12 months ended i ahve tried and tried with customer services to get a better deal but no go!!!! we lost some discount when the 12 months was over.
Had promises not met liek when we first joined we were offered a free router, never turned up and when i called back i was told no offer was available! !!!!!!??!!
also on the mobile phone, when we join earlier this year we were offered extra minutes and texts cause we were virgin media customers but the texts never turned up and trid and tried but bene told no offer available and i was not gonna get it, so even though i do like the service we get for tv and broadband i do feel they get peole in through lies!!
Our current bill is:
Line rental : £11.00
Talk unlimited : £7.95
phone, tv and bb bundle saving : -£9.50
Tv size xl : £23.00
1 additional v box : £15.00
set top box discount : -£10.00
Broadband XL : £37.00
bb xl for bbl bonus : -£12.00
paper bill charge: 1.25
all this we are charged £63.70 a month
I am wanting to upgrade to XXL BB as that seems like it would only cost us about £3 more than i am paying right now!!! but i really want the prices to come down a bit as it is a bit high right now!
but what gets me is they dont seem to reward loyal customers! they give promise after promise but never keep it (it seems) and never do anything to keep you sweet and to happily stay with themI love War Of The Worlds:heart2:

Hi could someone please help me.
Need to renew my contract as it ends soon with VM. Could anyone on a similar package tell me how much they pay for a similar package to mine? This is what I pay? Is it a good deal?

Hey everyone,
I finally rang VM to ask them to give us a better deal.
We were on:
TV - XL
phone - XL
BB - XL
and Sports and Movies
...for over £85! (Thanks to my dad...)
At first the lady was absolutely certain that we couldn't save money, unless we went to all L packages to save around £15. She was quite abrupt too. So I quoted a 'neighbour' (a poster from on here!) as having a great deal, and gave details, so why couldn't I have one too? She still wouldn't budge so I quoted the price Sky would charge for package I wanted.... And after a little persuasion and a few awkward silences, she CAVED! Yessss! :T
So now we are on:
TV - XL
phone - M
BB - L
still with Sports and Movies
AND a V+ box
.... for just £66.25. (and a one-off payment of £49 for the V+ box).
I am sooooo happy with this! :rotfl:
Thanks to everyone on here for posting, it really helps to get an idea of what others are on, and how to approach frosty sales-people.
If you think you're paying too much, do your research then get on the phone! You have nothing to lose and LOTS to gain!
Thank you and good luck!! :j

But technically you didn't get a deal at all, you just downgraded your package.0

I'm thinking of switching from AOL to Virgin Broadband (L) all I want is the broadband on it's own with no phone or TV package, this works out at £15 for 3 months then £20 after that. Has anyone else got this and are they getting it cheaper??0
