Tell them u are thinking of going to O2 :
7.34 standard up to 8 meg as a O2 PAYG customer with first 3 months free + 50.00 Cashback via Topcashback
+ BT Line rental with free line connection
Not much more than 150.00 a year in total after the 50.00 TCB O2 Cashback + whatever O2 PAYG topup requirement there is.
Or quote up to 20 meg O2 prices with 75.00 TCB Cashback and first 3 Months free. ( works out slightly less with the xtra Cashback)
http://broadband.o2.co.uk/home/packages.jsp
http://www.topcashback.co.uk/retailerdetailO2_Broadband.htm
Save me looking back through the thread can someone please give me retentions phone number for non VM phone customers.
Also whats the best Broadband only deal people are getting pse, Im a 2 meg broadband only customer which was upgraded to 10 meg, first 12 months contract finishes in a months time, im paying 10.00 a month for first 12 months and dont really want to pay more than 10.00 a month with VM.
Does anyone know say a contract ends on 5th October, if notice is given today to terminate VM on 5th October, If say a new order was made later on in September for a new service to be installed on 6th October via TCB would it be classed as a new customer. ???????????????0 -

I called up "pretending" to be my mum as I seem to have more knowledge of her financial affairs than she does.
I told them I wanted to leave to go to Sky and do the 3 for £30 offer they had back then.
Got her over £20 per month saving and inc her bband speed and tv package with a V+ box thrown in.I am a Mortgage Adviser

Can you list what services you have and the price you are paying. what you wrote above is useless as it gives no info at all.0 -
I'm a long-time ntl/VM customer, and I'm on a relatively poor deal:
M TV
M BB
Talk weekends
=£31 p/m
The exact same deal is advertised on the VM website for £25. i'm going to find out some good ADSL BB deals, get a free re-connection with BT and pay them £11 per month line rental (which I do with VM anyway).
Then i'll phone up cancellations, armed with my better deal and see what they can offer- if nothing is given then I will get BT to transfer my landline number to the new line and get a better BB deal.
