Just phoned to either leave or upgrade to VIP and get a discount and they said we can't do discounts, so I said I'll leave then and she said no problem, what a load of rubbish!! Nearly as bad as sky!0

I called their bluff about leaving, discussed my final payment and last day of the services being available etc but they still didnt budge...
Pfft..0 -
When I rang to cancel last month I was offered nothing. My last day with them is 6 June and I haven't had a single phone call from them.0

I have been on and off with Virgin (used to be telewest) for about 4 years. I need to get in touch with them due to problems which occurred at my previous place i was renting and as i had to move out from that hell hole as quickly as possible i havent had a chance to cancel / transfer my subscription.
I have had problems with the customer service at virgin a few times over the past few years.
Has anyone has any similar problems with having to move and cancelling the subscription due to problems with current living arrangements?
Just curious. Ta*~NeonPink ~*Livin' in Croydon/Bromley area. Attempting to save for a deposit for a place of my own!0 -

As I thought I may get a decent deal from retentions, I let the cancellation go through, but all I got offered was their S(mall) BB service, but really restrictive caps for £15. Hmmm no thanks. Previously a retentions guy had offered the same 2MB going to 10MB for £14, but I wanted it for £10 so held out and and got worse offers and then got disconnected.
I've now signed up as a new customer, as a stop gap until I get my BT line and O2 BB active, in 20 days I will be cancelling this new subscription forever. Bye bye Virgin!0 -
Hi all.
I was interested in getting the sky+ box thingy for free as advertised, but the virgin one seems a lot better. Trouble is (as we all know) money is tight, especially as I am going back to uni in Sept and I have a daughter to raise.
Anyhoo, I currently have:
L BB
L TV
M phone for £29 month.
They say it is at that price because of loyalty discount. If I get the box and XL tv they want over £40, and installation of £49. Just spoke to a guy who went on for half hour about fibre optics and how cable is better in the states.
So, has anyone got L BB, XL TV and M phone plus the box? Just wondered if that price is a good one or could I get it for lower.
Thanks in advance guys:beer:0 -
My contract ended a few days back, so I thought I'd call VM and try my luck. Yeh right..!
I am currently on
XL BB
M Phone
for £32/m
they offered me a £1 discount if I went to paperless bills.
If I upgrade to XXL BB & M Phone it would cost me £46/m, plus they want £80 for router, activation and install. (funny that, as new customers are getting the router free - not that I need it)
If this is what about 10 years of loyalty gets me, I think it's time a went with a new provider0 -
I think what everyone including me needs to do is, move over to bt, only £11 now along with free 0845 and 0870 calls. And if you have o2 mobile, very cheap broadband from £8, along with quidco cashback and first three months free for 20mb. they even have 1.3mb upload and 2.5mb upload for 20mb. Much faster upload than what Virgin Media is now offering.
Virgin Medias recent price hikes and their no effort in keeping old existing customers is sad really and the only way to show them, would be to go elsewhere. I hear O2 customers service is good0 -
Not sure what to due a few months when our deal runs out. Currently have XL TV, M bb and M phone. Sounds like they won't offer us much of a deal on the same package. I would be happy to go to freeview but our TV ariel is only connected to our bedroom so we would have to get that sorted which will cost. Guess that only leaves SKY as an option unless I can find a cheap way of getting the tv ariel situation sorted0
